I don't know about you but a lot of the cards I make never really ever get sent - some go as RAK's on my Joy of Sets page - some are for family members, but today's card has a real purpose. My dearest neice has just had her first baby at age 39. Not an easy birth sadly but mum and baby are now doing well - she is my sister's daughter and I lost my sister in 1999 so she is very precious and it's so lovely that she now has a daughter of her own.
I chose to use Stampin' Up's Bookcase Builder for my card - I'm always surprised that this little set didn't get the love I think it deserved. I think it's retiring now also but I will keep hold of it as I think it is great for lots of occasions.
I followed the brief from Fab Friday for my colours for the card and have used Powder Pink, Melon Mambo and Flirty Flamingo. Flirty Flamingo was never one of my favourite colours and I only have it in marker pen but it works well for inking up the little stamps in this set.
I've used Powder Pink cardstock as my base and for the scallop circle around the stitched framelit circle. This was first embossed with the retired hearts embossing folder. The ribbon is Powder Pink shimmer ribbon.

Ah ha - I also loved this set - so versatile - I was surprised it didn't take off more, too. It makes for a super cute baby card, though! Thanks so much for playing at Fab Friday! And congrats to mum and baby - and YOU, Auntie!
