BELLA AND FRIENDS

Bella and friends is getting an outing today - I've recenttly bought a pack of our new Designer Series Paper Wood Textures.  I thought it would go well with the dogs - almost kennel like in its appearance.

The Sketch Challenge this week over at CASE this Sketch#224 is the following.

I've turned the image on its side for my card.  The images were coloured in with our Watercolour Pencils.  Just a few enamel dots but I wanted to try and still keep this Clean and Simple as per the instructions.

I don't normally do 'cute' but I just love Bella and Friends and Pretty Kitty and they are so great to colour in.

WATERCOOLER WEDNESDAY CHALLENGE #121 - "ANYTHING GOES" CHALLENGE

http://watercoolerchallenges.blogspot.co.uk/

It's a free for all Challenge over at Watercooler Wednesday this week - anything you like - we'd love to see it!

I've chosen to use the lovely Pretty Kitty set - this is such a lovely set for colouring and although it's not new to the catalogue its new to me so I'm still in that Honeymoon stage with this set.  I used some now sadly retiring DSP as the background and Island Indigo as the cardstock.  Stitched Framelits also got a look in here.  The Watercolour Pencils are great at colouring in these little kitties.

This is a great single Fun Fold card and always gives a bit of that Wow factor.

Come along and join us and let us see your creations.  Pop over to the rest of the Design Team and see what they have for you.

BELLA AND FRIENDS - DUTCH FOLD CARD GLOBAL DESIGN PROJECT

I have just recently bought myself the Bella and Friends stamp set - yes I know I am late to the party - by well a year! but better late than never!  I don't normally do "cute" sets but this one and the Pretty Kitty really tugged at my colouring heart lol!  They are just such lovely images to colour in.

Now, stay with me - its not readily apparent as to why I am including this in the Global Design Project challenge this week which is: (click on the image to go to their site)

 http://www.global-design-project.com/2017/05/global-design-project-087-theme.html

So how am I managing to get Bella and friends into the Global Design Project - well there is a very cute little cupcake in this set!  That certainly comes under the heading of baking and I made the card so that is also making lol!

The dutch fold is such a great fun fold and gives you the chance to use a few of the images from this lovely set.  Did you spot the cupcake?  Twice, I might add!

I've also used some of the new Wood Textures Designer Series Papers.  The images were coloured in using our Watercolour Pencils and blender pens.

WATERCOOLER WEDNESDAY CHALLENGE 117

http://watercoolerchallenges.blogspot.co.uk/

Did you notice my new badge?

I am super excited to have been offered a place on the Design Team of the fabulous Watercooler Wednesday challenge blog.  I have played along with their challenges on and off over the last few years and I was honoured when Heidi asked me to join them for an initial few months.  It is amazing to see all the work that goes on behind the scenes for a challenge blog - who knew?

So for my first challenge this week on the other side of the fence it was

Heidi's Feminine Challenge - Anything Goes

I grabbed my Birthday Blooms - I'm so happy this set is staying for another year in the catalogue.  I used our Watercolour Pencils to colour in the rose with a touch of Wink of Stella on the stamens in the middle.

I wrapped some of the Copper Metallic Thread - tricky stuff to use as it is so fine but it helps if you add a bit of glue to the back of your cardstock before wrapping it.

I've used the Bitty Butterfly Punch which sadly is not staying but mine is going nowhere - I love these butterfly punches and I will still use them.

The card was layered onto some Old Olive Cardstock onto some Whisper White which has been embossed with an embossing folder.

I hope we have inspired you to join in with the challenge.  Check out all the other Watercooler Artists to see what they have in store for you this week.

WETLANDS MASCULINE CARD - WATERCOOLER WEDNESDAY

Just before I start my post I just wanted to share our fantastic news - Stampin' Up! won Papercraft Brand and Retail of the Year for 2017 here in the UK.  What fantastic news - especially when you bear in mind we are not strictly a retailer and you can only purchase from your fabulous local Independent Demonstrator!

The challenge over at Watercooler Wednesday for this week was Anything Goes - Masculine Cards. A great challenge for me as I do Masculine Monday You Tube tutorials.

Once again I have turned to Wetlands for my masculine card.  I love this set because its not obviously a masculine set and therefore very versatile.  But I think it lends itself to masculine cards without being in your face - if you get my meaning!

I used Early Espresso cardstock for the base and the Designer Series Paper is from the gorgeous Falling in Love from the Spring/Summer catalogue.  Not probably your first thought for male cards as it has a lot of pink in it but that's the beauty of our Designer Series Paper - they are double sided and I loved the neutral background on this paper.  The opposite side is quite pink as you can see from this little picture below.

I used our Watercolour Pencils and a blender pen to colour in the goose and marker pens to stamp the ferns with the two colours.  I edged the top of the DSP and the greeting with a touch of Tangerine Tango and Rose Red ink just to give a hint of a sunset.  A touch of the Burlap Ribbon, one of my favourites and the Decorative Punch label for the sentiment completed this card.  This was all made with one stamp set!

Thank for stopping by and leaving a comment.  I love to hear from you and it does make blogging worth while.

iF YOU LOVE TO CRAFT AND LIVE IN MY AREA WHY NOT COME ALONG TO MY CLASSES.  THEY ARE HELD DURING THE DAY AND IN THE EVENINGS AND ARE GREAT FUN.  ALL THESE LADIES WERE BEGINNERS JUST A MONTH AGO AND ALL THOUGHT THEY COULDN'T CRAFT. BUT WITH STAMPIN' UP! YOU REALLY CAN.

MEDITERRANEAN MOMENTS - INKSPIRATIONAL CHALLENGE 127

I'm a cat lady!  There!  It's official I'e said it.  Although I have two dogs which I also love dearly I have two cats also and have cats since I was 9 years old.  I can always see me having a cat - not necessarily always having dogs as I get older!

So I was so happy to see a cat on one of the stamps from this lovely set Mediterranean Moments.  This cat actually looks a little like one of my old cats I lost last year  her name was Megan and she was 16 when we lost her.

I've given my cat on this card her colouring slightly.

The challenge over at Inkspirational Challenge 127 is polkadots and I had already made this card using some of the DSP Stacks.  I love these papers, they are so versatile.  I've used the same paper with the Itty Bitty punch to punch out the butterfly.

Stitched framelits were used and I used our Watercolour Pencils for the colouring in.  A touch of linen thread finishes off the card.

BEAUTIFUL YOU - CAS CHALLENGE

I wonder if the love affair with this stamp set will wane.  If its not the imagery its the wonderful sentiments that come with it.

The challenge over at Addicted to CAS challenge this week is the word WISH.

I hope my card is clean and simple enough -

I've used Whisper White as the base and Soft Suede as the layer for this card.  The image is from the Serene Scenery DSP.

I stamped the girl dancing and cut her out.  Quite easy to cut out really.  I coloured her in with the Watercolour Pencils in Pumpkin Pie and used one of our DSP stack papers in Pumpkin Pie to punch out the butterfly which is just balancing on her foot.

The Sentiment was clear embossed in Early Espresso and I added a heart enamel dot.

I hope you like my card and go and join in with this great challenge.

INKSPIRATIONAL CHALLENGE - BEST OF BIRDS

Best of Birds is a new set for me and I just love it.  I'm just waiting for my framelits to arrive to go with this set which I think will make it even more versatile.

I do love birds and their imagery, much better than insects which I just don't do.

So I was delighted to see that the challenge over at Inkspirational Challenge is Flutter.  I had already made this card for a friend's birthday soon and I think it will fit this challenge really well.

I used some of our think Watercolour White paper to colour in the bird and used our new Watercolour Pencils and an Aqua Painter.

He was first embossed in black ink and I used clear embossing powder to emboss him.  The branch was embossed with our Copper Embossing Powder.

I fussy cut him out and this will be a lot easier with the framelits when I get them.

I used some of the gorgeous Serene Scenery DSP for the background.  The sentiment was punched out with the banner punch and some enamel dots completed the card.

All supplies can be purchased from me if you are in the UK.  Please click on the SU Logo below to be taken to my store.

STAMPIN UP - OLD FASHIONED CHRISTMAS

Old-Fashioned Christmas is one of the fabulous Stampin Up sets which is included in the UK Catalogue. The set comprises 6 rubber stamps and is priced at £28.95 for all 6!!! All SU stamps come in their own plastic cases for ease of storage!

Here are a few examples of what you can do with this set

This set uses Stampin Up Embossing powder in Olive. Stampin Up Watercolour pencils have been used for the detailing on the Father Christmas. The brads are also SU - part of the earth elements set.

This set has used the same colours with the addition of some mulberry paper. The tag includes SU string (hemp) in red- and SU eyelets Stars in Real Red.
A little tip for when you are cutting out your rubber stamps - keep some of the unwanted rubber back - it is handy to use as pop ups as in this instance.
