KRAFTY CHICKS #696 - ALL OCCASIONS

This is my last week for being Guest Designer over at Krafty Chicks and it's been a pleasure to be part of their team for a month.  Our final one is All Occasions.

I used this gorgeous mouse from Anita Jeram from the Colorado Craft Company.  I chose to do a Thank You card ready for all those cards needed for January to thank you for my Christmas gifts.  I stamped the mouse first then masked him off and added a Tim Holtz stencil behind him.

I'm adding this into the Stencil Fun challenge

CHRISTMAS CRAFT CREATIONS

We hope you are still joining in with our theme of Christmas Decorations - such a busy time of the year but being able to sneak away for a bit of crafting can help keep you calm.  I'm joining in again with my die cut decorations from Creative Expressions. The sparkles in the paper was made by Tim Holtz Festive Micro Sprays.

KRAFTY CHICKS #695 CAS

Oh it's CAS over at Krafty Chicks where I am still the Guest Designer for this month.  As regular readers to my blog will know I'm not great at the CAS cards - I love to throw everything at it in a Mixed Media type of way and find it hard to just leave it alone.  Here I've used some old Kaisercraft stamps - they are individual stamps but when you put them together they do create a tree shape.  I stamped them in different colours of greens to create my tree.  I added the star and a water droplet to the top.   The little pot is from Tim Holtz.  I really had to walk away then and not add anything else.

CHRISTMAS WREATH CARD

I know I'm going to feel quite bereft over the next few weeks as all my Christmas crafting is completed.  It is my favourite time of the year to craft - I may just carry on and make sure I'm ready for next year though lol!

I'm playing along with Allsorts Challenge blog who have challenged us with Christmas flowers/wreaths.  This one was made with an old Tim Holtz holly stamp and greenery.  The mugs are a very old set from Gina K Designs.  I've added Nuovo drops on the berries.

KRAFTY CHICKS GUEST DESIGNER - #694 CHRISTMAS

I'm on week two of my Guest Designer slot at Krafty Chicks challenge and we are up to Christmas.  My favourite time of the year for crafting.  I've gone with an idea by Tracy Evans for creating your own baubles for me card.  I've used a stamp set from Kaisercraft . I stamped the holly foliage in Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Salvaged Patina and added dots for the berries with a red Posca Pen.

I then cut a circle out of some scrap paper and used the same DO ink together with Dusty Concord for creating the baubles.  I added a touch more stamping to the top of the baubles.  The images within the baubles were stamped with silver embossing powder.  The little tops of the baubles are from Concord and 9th and I hand drew the thread.  The sentiment is from Concord and 9th and the music stamp is from Tim Holtz.

CHRISTMAS CRAFT CREATIONS - CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS

Welcome back to another challenge from Christmas Craft Creations and if you are still crafting along with us - well done.  Our theme is Decorations and I've used some lovely old stamps by Clearly Besotted as baubles in my wreath style card.  The wreath was made with stamps by Tracy Evans which are just leaves that I've stamped around the shaded circle.  The little images were cut out with a stitched circle die, coloured in with a touch of red and some white for snow and layered into the wreath.

KRAFTY CHICKS GUEST DESIGNER - STAMPING #693

I am delighted to have been given the chance to be Guest Designer for Krafty Chicks challenge - and I get to stay the whole month.  This first week's challenge is stamping.  I used a stamp set by Sam Poole for Creative Expressions for my  stamps. And it isn't even a Christmas card lol!

The background was made using Sam Poole Botanical inks which give a gorgeous soft background colour.  I added some of her paste too through a letter stencil.  I used a piece of hessian to stamp the wording and a frame from Taperlogy for the butterfly.

THE MALE ROOM #181 - CHRISTMAS

I'm sure we are all in full on Christmas mode at the moment.  Well done if you have the time to join in with our challenge this month here at The Male Room.  We are all about the cards for the men in your lives which we know can sometimes be a bit tricky.

My card uses a cleverly designed die cut from Creative Expressions which lifts and layers part of the holly leaves called the Paper Cuts Cut and Lift Collection Holly Berries craft die.  I started with a background I'd made with a gell press and some Tim Holtz Distress paints.  I didn't want a typical holly colour so went with Salvaged Patina, Salty Ocean and a touch of Peeled Paint.  I added a layer of green cardstock behind the die cut.  I added some red Posca Paint for the berries with a touch of white for some snow.  The Winter Wishes die cut is also from Creative Expressions.

CREATIVE ARTISTE MIXED MEDIA - 100TH CHALLENGE

Welcome to our 100th edition of Creative Artiste Mixed Media Challenge

Wow isn't that something.  And to celebrate I am offering a prize for one lucky winner.  I look forward to seeing all  your entries and, as usual, please ensure that your projects are mixed media.  If you are unsure we do list in our Rules what counts as mixed media.

My project is a Tim Holtz style Accordion Folio.  I created the folio myself rather than purchase the ready made one - they are very easy to make and they can become quite addictive.  This is the second one I've made in a month and this one just had to be a Christmas one using some of Tim Holtz Ideaology pieces.

I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas or whatever season you celebrate and look forward to seeing you all again in 2024!
