HAND STAMPED SENTIMENTS - IC310

Some gorgeous spring images for you to work with for this week's challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments.

My card uses two stamp sets - Colourful Seasons and Timeless Textures.  I sponged some Powder Pink Ink on to the middle of the white cardstock and added some stamps from Timeless Textures - the blue ink is from Kaisercraft called Lagoon.  I also used Berry Burst for the flowers.  I added some clear butterflies and added some pearls in pink and blue.  Some ribbon and the sentiment in the same Lagoon finishes off the card.

I'm including this in Inkspirational's Challenge using similar colours and a chair instead of a bed!

GLITTER AND SPARKLE

My card today is all about the Glitter and Sparkle.  I was inspired by a challenge by my friend and  SU Demo Angie McKenzie on her Facebook Group Nature's Inkspirations and this was one of the four images I chose as my inspiration.

Image may contain: tree, snow, sky, outdoor and nature

I've used silver glitter paper for the background.  The trees are cut with Stampin Up's framelits which match Winter Woods.  They have been cut twice and layered and some glitter added.  The snowbank was made with a retired embossing folder by SU.  The sentiment is from Kaisercraft Wonderland papers.

The photo doesn't really show how fabulously shiny this card is in real life.

I'm also adding this into the following challenges:

Global Design Project - T'is The Season
Make My Monday - Traditional Colours
Inkspirational - Anything Christmas
The Paper Players - It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

TRY STAMPING ON TUESDAY - SKETCH #385

We have a Sketch for you over at Try Stamping On Tuesday this week -

I wanted to do a Christmas Card with my sketch and went with the Season Layers Framelits and the snowflakes.  I've not used these very much.  I kept them simple with a touch of Wink of Stella to make them sparkle.  The sentiment is from an old SU set Warmth and Wonder.  I seem to use this sentiment a lot - I think it goes really well with snow type cards.

The background paper is from Kaisercraft and I've added some rhinestones also just to keep the sparkle going.

I look forward to seeing what you all do with this sketch.

ON THE BEACH

Another scrapbook page from me today.  I love this picture of my daughter and her dog Cooper at the beach last week - I can't take credit for the lovely photo - it was taken by her partner.

I've taken my inspiration from Let's Get Sketchy and their challenge for my page.

I'm also including this in the CSI challenge

And also for the Inspired By challenge

And Time Out Challenge - taking inspiration from those lovely striped blues

I used a page from Bo Bunny Love and Lace for my background paper and then added various Kaisercraft Beach Shack papers and accessories.  I love the sentiments they give you with this paper - it's so fitting as my daughter is a real water baby.

Thanks for looking.

A TRIBUTE TO DAD

The Challenge over at Try It On Tuesday is entitled For The Boys.  I chose to do a Scrapbook Layout for this one and, as it was Father's Day on Sunday here in the UK I did a page for my husband - the best Dad to our two children - not children any more though.

I used some of the gorgeous Kaisercraft paper for the 12 x 12 and some papers from a small block of 4x4 I had in my stash.

Gifts from the kids for Dad for Father's Day were goodies to do with Fly Fishing - his favourite pasttime - so while I was at it I also did a page just for him - best type of fishing as far as I'm concerned is where the fish swims free.  I love the way hubby managed to capture the image of the fish underwater being released back into the wild river Test in Hampshire.

MR & MRS - 1985

33 years ago in September hubby and I said I do - and we still do!  The challenge over at Inspired By is

and it inspired me to do another scrapbook page.  I happened to be going through some old photos on the computer and this one popped up - I'd obviously scanned it in sometime earlier as, when we were married, there was no such thing as digital photography.

I've used some more Kaisercraft papers for this layout - I think I may need to go and search out some new papers - this was from a Kit from Charmed Crafts and Cards an online shop Ive found and this was their monthly kit back in January and luckily they still had some left.  I've added a couple of sentiment stamps from Stampin Up and the flowers and butterflies are SU thinlets and punches.

MEMORIES OF SKOPOLOS, GREECE - MAMMA MIA!

Those of you who know and love the film Mamma Mia will understand my reference in the title - for those who don't last year hubby son and I went to Skopolos the Greek Island where Mamma Mia no 1 was filmed.  I adore Greece - we've been going there on holiday since 1984 and no-where compares to it.

Hubby and I always wanted to retire there but sadly I don't think that's ever going to happen - for one thing how could we choose just one beautiful Island over another though, if we were pressed, our favourite is Paxos.

Today though I have done a layout on Skopolos.  The beauty of not being with SU anymore means that a whole world of products has opened up and I've just found Kaisercraft.  I adore these papers and although at the moment I only have two packs to my name I'm loving them.  So I was delighted to find they actually have a challenge blog and this month's challenge is a sketch. Click Here to be taken to their blog.

Wow - just Wow - so much in here to challenge me.  And as they ask you to use at least 80% of their products I was a bit limited but I did my best.

I've used two Kaisercraft packs here - the first one is the absolutely gorgeous Memory Lane pack with those beautiful mint colours.  The second one is The Lake House collection.  I've added some of their Alphabet stickers too in Natural and a star stamp and some stars from my collection.  Safe to say I think I need more stuff!
