BOTANICAL PRINTS

This lovely set was recently on offer from Stampin Up as it retires. At £40 off the price it was a real bargain!  I really like the stamp set and I have been playing at colouring in some of the black and white DSP which I haven't done before - they will probably show themselves on my blog in a while.

In the meantime I wanted to have a little play with the stamps and some embossing paste.  I used some Powder Pink ink to add a hint of a colour to the embossing paste and used an SU stencil for the bricks.  I then took the flower stamp from the set and stamped one in Early Espresso and two in Basic Gray and coloured them in with Poweder Pink ink and an aqua painter with a slightly darker hint of colour in the middle.

I sponged the edges of the card in Early Espresso and mounted it on to a piece of Grey card stock.  I added some retired satin ribbon and some pearls.  The flowers were added with dimensionals and a simple sentiment added in Early Espresso.

I'm adding this into the following challenges:

Global Design Project - #gdp243 - Floral
Stamping Sensations - Flowers
The Sisterhood of Crafters - Favourite Technique - I love embossing paste - a bit late to the party but now I've found it - wow!
