Sweet Stampin challenge this week is Die Cuts/Punches. I recently got a Gemini electric die cut machine for my birthday and the die cut below came with it. I cut it out first and then used it as a stencil - I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks for the colours and a blender brush. The colours I used were Twisted Citron, Crushed Olive, Ripe Persimmon, Dusty Concord and Peacock Feathers.
I then added another of the die cuts in the middle and added some ribbon and some pearls.
I love the way this die cut has become a stencil and how well it shows up using the inks. What a great way to get more use out of your stash! I'd love to see your project if you do something similar.
