HAND STAMPED SENTIMENTS - #CC393

Welcome to another colour challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  As usual our colours are guide lines in case you don't have the Stampin Up colours - just use the closes colours you have.

I've just purchased this lovely new set from Tracy Evans stamps and wanted to do a simple watercolour card with this lovely image.  I used Versafine Black for the outline and had to use my Tim Holtz stamping platform as it is quite a large stamp.

I used Highland Heather for my purples and varied the colour by adding less or more water.  I actually only had Coastal Cabana in an SU Soft Pastel but I think it worked really well.  The vase was inked in Tim Holtz Faded Jeans Distress Ink and I added some of his Distress Crayon in the same colour to add definition.  I added a few sparkles and the sentiment from the same set.

I've kept it simple as the image is so lovely.

I'm adding this into the following challenge:

Tic Tac Toe - using the middle horizontal line - birthday, flowers, sequins
Addicted to Stamps - Birthday

SWEET STAMPIN - SPOTS OR STRIPES?

Welcome back to another challenge with Sweet Stampin and it's great to see you all saving a bit of time to join in with our challenges. This week we are asking Spots or Stripes?  I couldn't decide so I did a bit of both!

I started out with using the new Tim Holtz Tiny Text Christmas stamps - stamping them in Peeled Paint distress ink then cutting them all into strips to become my stripes!  I inked the background wit a light dusting of Crackling Campfire ink and some of the new Rustic Wilderness Distress Crayon around the outsides.

The Deer is from the Tim Holtz Cool Yule Thinlets set.  I added some spots to his scarf just to keep in with the theme - he also has a few bells dangling from his antlers - I'm not sure if they show up in the picture.

I added some of the Tim Holtz Holiday Greens Mini thinlets but I've kept them in white and covered them in Dazzling Diamonds to give them a shimmer and added a shiny red glitter dot in the middle.

HAND STAMPED SENTIMENTS - IC349

What will you do with our gorgeous mood board at HSS this week?  I have this cute little set from Stampin Up called Bitty Boo which is a really old set.   I thought I would bring it out and give it a 2020 update - especially as I don't really have any other Hallowe'en stamps.  I started off by making my background with some Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Crackling Campfire and Black Soot. I then tore the edges of the paper and layered it onto some black card stock.

The various images were stamped and cut out with stitched framelits and edged in Crackling Campfire.  The Boo letters are from Tim Holtz Shadow Thinlets - I cut out two of each in black and card coloured with Crackling Campfire and put them together.  I added a stitched white line with a white gelly roll pen and then added some of the gorgeous Brushed Pewter Metallic Distress Crayon from TH.
