HAPPY LITTLE STAMPERS WATERCOLOUR - DECEMBER 2022

It had to be a wintry card for our December challenge over at Happy Little Stampers.  Although this doesn't actually mention Christmas it would still make a lovely Christmas card.  The lovely images are from Anita Jeram for Colorado Craft Company - this set is a few years old ow but I just love her images. This one is called Snow Happy.

I stamped the images first with Versafine Clair in Acorn and then coloured them in with Tim Holtz Distress Inks.  I then did a colour wash of a background in Salty Ocean behind the images.  There is some of Tim Holtz Grit Paste snowfall behind the animals to create the snow and also on his little snowball.

I'm adding this into the following challenges

Krafty Chicks - Stamping
Time Out - Winter
Try it on Tuesday - Winter Wonderland

Proud to have been chosen as a Golden Egg at Krafty Chicks

SPARKLES CHRISTMAS CHALLENGE - FLORA /FAUNA

Flora/Fauna

Welcome to another month's challenge at Sparkles Christmas Challenge.  If you have been with us all year well done - you have at least 10 cards ready for the big day!

Our challenge this month is Flora/Fauna.  I wanted to use this delightful stamp set by Anita Jeram called Snow Happy.  It is so whimsical and I wanted to give it a slightly vintage feel.

I stamped the image using Versafine Clair in Acorn to give a softer feel rather than black.  I coloured it in with distress inks - added some white dots and some pearl drops for the deer's tail, the rabbit's tail and the snowball.  I used some distress ink around the edges to give it a wintry feel and added some pearls and some rickrack.  The sentiment is from an old set and I thought the font suited the card.

SWEET STAMPIN - CHRISTMAS IN SEPTEMBER

Our challenge for you today at Sweet Stampin is Christmas in September.  Today is actually my darling daughter's Wedding Day so, as you can imagine, this project was done a few weeks ago as I will be rather busy today!  It was also my 36th Wedding Anniversary a few days ago and in a few days time we will be moving home from England to Wales so a lot going on this month.  I still managed to sneak in some craft time though.

I've used the gorgeous stamp set from Anita Jeram for my card - these stamps called Snow Happy are so whimsical and very gentle.  I kept it simple with some simple watercolouring so as not to detract from the image.  There is some Stickles on the snowball and the deer and rabbit's tail to add a bit more interest.

I wonder if we will get snow here in the UK this year - I have more chance of seeing it in Wales than in England so fingers crossed, but not in September lol!

CHRISTMAS IN SEPTEMBER!!!

It's never too early to make a start on Christmas cards.  My card today has been inspired by two challenges - Global Design Project sketch#gdp308  and As You See It challenge #258 Up In The Air.

I took the inspiration for my colours from the snowflake washi tape I had in my stash.  I used Versafine Clair in Warm Breeze and Stampin Up Cherry Cobbler for my snowflakes.  The snowflakes stamps are from Winter Flowers and Foliage from Creative Expressions.

I masked off the area as per the sketch for the GDP and used a sentiment from Anita Jeram Snow Happy set.  I layered it onto some SU card stock and added some SU Dazzling Diamonds for some of the snowflakes.

TRY STAMPIN ON TUESDAY - #TSOT516

Optional Theme - Outdoor Fun

Here's our sketch for you this week from Try Stampin on Tuesday with the optional extra theme of Outdoor Fun.  I thought I would do a Christmas in July theme also which seems to be the thing in the crafting world and it gives me another chance to use this fabulous set.  It's an Anita Jeram stamp set called Snow Happy by Colorado Craft Company.

I started off with some watercolour paper and inked my background using Tim Holtz Distress Inks.  I stamped the image in Versafine Clair Acorn which is a bit softer than using a black.  I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks to colour in the images.  I added some Liquid Pearls in White Opal for the bunny's tail, the deer's tail and the snowball.  The sentiment is from the same set and I used an archival ink in Cobalt Blue by Ranger.  I added some dots to continue the theme of the snow around the edges and added some to the deer.

I'm adding this into the following challenges:

TTCRD - AG
The Holly and Ivy - Anything Xmas Goes
Christmas Kick Start Challenge - anything fluffy or furry
Ike's World - AG option of Christmas
Double Trouble - Christmas in July

SPARKLES CHRISTMAS FORUM - SNOWFLAKES - MORE THAN 1

Welcome to another Christmas Challenge from Sparkles #126 - our theme for you this month is Snowflakes - More than One!

I've just bought this adorable set by Anita Jeram called Snow Happy and really wanted to use the delightful sentiment.  I started off by using a Tim Holtz snowflake stencil for my background using Distress Ink in Faded Jeans.  I added a strip of Night of Navy SU Cardstock along the front and added some die cut snowflakes covered in SU Dazzling Diamonds.  The little rabbit holding out the snowflake is from the same set - I coloured him in with Distress Ink and a water colour brush and used a stitched framelit to cut him out.

The sentiment was stamped in Versafine Clair Nocturne ink - my favourite go-to black ink at the moment.
