JOY OF SETS NEW CATALOGUE BLOG HOP

Hi and welcome to the Joy of Sets New Catalogue Blog Hop.  Thanks for joining me from Jane Allmark's fabulous blog.

I'm overwhelmed sometimes at how popular my Facebook Group The Joy of Sets is - it has grown so much in the year it has been going with over 3,000 lovely members. We do lots within the group from RAK's, to challenges to swaps. We decided to do another Blog Hop and celebrate the new Stampin Up Catalogue 2018/2019.  Everyone on the hop will have used something from the new catalogue, even if it isn't a new stamp set and you will hop all over the world on our International Blog Hop.

I'd been waiting patiently for my Dandelion Wishes set to come through - it was sold out in the UK but it was worth the wait.  My dear friend and SU Demo Andrea Parr ordered it for me as I'm no longer a Demo.

I was inspired by a card I'd seen by Dawn Griffiths - SU Queen as far as I'm concerned.  I haven't used the Copper Embossing Powder much really so it had an outing on this card.

The background was first embossed with a retired SU embossing folder with all the little dots on.  At Joy of Sets we celebrate all things SU retired and current.  I then covered this cardstock in Versamark and added the Copper Embossing Powder.  As it covers nearly all of it and I didn't want it completely covered I used a dry paintbrush to brush away some of the powder and then used my SU heat tool to dry it.  I embossed the Dandelions the same way and mounted them on some of the new DSP Share What You Love.  I used one of the Stitched Framelits to cut out the sentiment and added some Copper Embossing Thread behind it.  The little jewels are non SU.  This was all mounted onto some Very Vanilla card stock.  The shine to this card is so lovely with all that Copper.
