WHEN CRAFTING HELPS...

It's a difficult day for me today - my darling daughter who is 27 is undergoing a five hour operation this afternoon. I can do nothing but sit and wait by the phone until I hear it was a success.  Those of us who are parents know you always want to take their pain away and you feel so helpless when you can't.  I have received so much love and support from my Joy of Sets members I can't tell you.  I have a dear friend who always lifts me up when times are tough which has been a lot lately.  My daughter makes me smile.  These are the projects I have done today.

A scrapbook page for my dear friend.  I've almost followed a sketch from Sketches In Thyme #332.  My friend is very girly, loves the colour pink and loves roses so this page is just up her street.  She is not a crafter but still appreciates the love behind the page.  My page uses some of the gorgeous Kaisercraft Rose Avenue Collection.

My card is a CASE for Global Design Project #148 and was made with my daughter in mind.  I have used Textured Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder for the background and embossed it with Copper Embossing Powder.  I've added some retired lace and one of the new Pearlized Doilies.  The sentiment also embossed in Copper is from Colourful Seasons.  I've used some of the new DSP and cut out the flowers and there is also a touch of Copper Metallic Thread behind the flowers.

As I say..... crafting helps.

Thanks for looking.
