DANDELION WISHES

When I first saw the new Stampin Up catalogue there was really one one stamp set I had my heart on which was Dandelion Wishes.  As it was out of stock for a while in the UK I've had to wait patiently but finally I get to play with it.

My card today uses this stamp set as well as another SU one called Fairy Celebration.  I don't actually have this set but a fellow SU demo Jane Allmark who is part of my Joy of Sets Facebook group very kindly RAK'd me this gorgeous 3d Fairy she had made with this set and I really wanted to add her to the Dandelion Wishes.

Another SU demo friend Andrea Parr also very kindly RAK'd me some of the new SU papers and in particular I was drawn to this gorgeous one which I think is called Twinkle Twinkle.  I decided to tear the paper and ink the edges with SU Night of Navy.  I added a Pearlized Doily which was also gently inked with the Navy just to soften the colour.

I used Versamark to emboss the dandelions onto the card and used non SU silver powder.  I used the Stitched Framelit dies to cut out the sentiment and silver embossed the sentiment and the flowers.

I'm adding this card into the following challenges:

Make My Monday - #75 - Fantasy
As You See It - Old is new again - paper tearing is definitely making a comeback
SUO Challenges - your favourite stamps
Addicted to Stamps - Anything Goes
Try Stampin On Tuesday - Tic Tac Toe - Tearing, Blue, Die Cut

Dandelion Wishes is a pretty set and I like the way you've embossed it on the Night of Navy. Paper tearing is a great technique and not one I've used in a while - funny how things quietly slip out of your toolbox without you even noticing. Our challenge this week was actually a sketch challenge but thank you for joining in with us at As You See It.

what a lovely card, I just love when someone put the sentiment on something other than white and it just works so well.
