WARMTH AND WONDER

A big Thank You to Retro Rubber who chose my Retiform card as one of their special cards this week.

Another Christmas card from me today - using the SU retired Warmth and Wonder set.  This one is for two challenges - A colour challenge at Just Add Ink #423  - I loved these soft colours and, although not immediately thought off for Christmas I thought they would look nice on a Christmas card.

The other challenge is for The Paper Players PP407 who gave us a sketch to follow.

I used the masking technique to mask off my lines and inked all the inks with a Tim Holtz sponge dauber.  I kept the colours light and soft and ethereal.  The tree was inked in Bermuda Bay and then I added some stars, the sentiment and the dots in the tree all in Silver Embossing Powder.  I think the colours look quite good for Christmas - I hope you agree.

I thought you did a great job of that retiform card - it's not an easy technique to get balanced well. This card is lovely too. I like the way you've used sponged lines to represent the horizontals. That tree is so sweet and I agree that there is a softness and an etherealness to this design. Thank you for joining in with us at The Paper Players this week.

The lightly sponged background really is lovely Fiona, it's atmospheric and has loads of texture too. Love the addition of the little silver embossed baubles on the tree! Thanks for joining us at Just Add Ink this week.

What a beautiful Christmas card, Fiona! I love the softness you have achieved with sponging the colours. It adds such a peacefulness that is perfect for your theme and the glints of silver in the sky and tree are really gorgeous. Thanks for sharing with us at Just Add Ink this week.

Lovely Christmas card, I really like the embossing - it adds a touch of glossiness. The raised embossing makes me want to feel the card. the sponged panels is a great way to showcase the different colours. Chantell Just Add Ink
