The challenge over at SUO challenge this week was to choose your favourite paper that is retiring and make a project. I decided to make a box and was delighted to see that Watercooler Wednesday is asking for a box so that was lucky!
This type of box is called a split top box and there are plenty of tutorials on youtube with different sizes and dimensions. Mine uses 8.5" x 7 1/4" and is ideal for popping in some tea lights or soaps or chocolates!
I've used Hello Honey cardstock which we are also saying goodbye to and have decorated the box with flowers from the Framelits in card stock and DSP.

Hi Fiona, what a beautifully crafted box! I love the colours you've used and agree that it will be sad to lose the beautiful Designer Paper. That split top box is a perfect size to gift someone special some cards or a special little gift. Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.
Oh,I've been wanting to try one of these split-top boxes; you did a great job, Fiona! I can see that you love the Botanicals, too :) I like how you've created the 'bed' of leaves underneath the flower. Thanks for joining my challenge at Watercooler Wednesday! ~Deborah
Love your split top box, Fiona! I'm going to be sad to see that DSP retire, too. It has been a favorite of mine. Thanks for joining us this week at Watercooler Wednesday Challenges.
Wow, what a wonderful box project!! Love the use of the Botanical Gardens DSP with the coordinating framelits :-) So thrilled that you decided to play along with us at SUO Challenges!
What a generously sized box! I love it. Sad to see this paper go too. Thank you for playing along with our Box Challenge this week at Watercooler Challenges!
Congrats Fiona on your honourable mention in this weeks Watercooler Challenge. This is a great box and looks so beautiful with the lovely botanical papers. I'm sad they are going too, for exactly the same reasons as you. Got the papers late in the season, and now it's hard to use them up.
What a wonderful project to showcase these gorgeous colours and beautiful paper!! So glad you joined the fun at SUO!
