SWEET STAMPIN - USE YOUR FAVOURITE STAMP

What a difficult challenge for all us stampers at Sweet Stampin this week - use your favourite stamp.  If I really had to choose my favourite stamp it would be this Father Christmas stamp I've had for nearly 15 years.  It was made by Rubber Stampede and has featured in many cards over the years.

HAND STAMPED SENTIMENTS IC328

Lots of lovely Christmas images to inspire your crafting at our challenge this week at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  I've used the lovely Santa image which is a very old rubber stamp from Rubber Stampede called Santa Collage.  I embossed him in red embossing powder to make him sparkle.  I used some banner framelits to cut his image out and layered onto Real Red card stock from Stampin Up.  The little sentiment with the image of Santa and the sleigh is another old stamp from Inkadinkado.  I used a retired holly embossing folder from SU for the background and added a touch of red satin ribbon.

 

SPARKLES CHRISTMAS CHALLENGE - NOVEMBER - SANTA

Our Challenge this month over at Sparkles Christmas Challenge is Santa. It wouldn't be Christmas without him would it?  I love this  old old stamp I have from Rubber Stampede called Santa Collage - the rubber is starting to run out a little bit - oh no!  I used it here with some gorgeous Copper Embossing powder from Stampin Up  I used a tag framelit to cut him out and added a background in a larger framelit using a gorgeous green paper from Kaisercraft Enchanted paper pad.  The paper on the right hand side of the card is also from Kaisercraft, from their Christmas Collections 6 x 6 paper pad.  

The left hand side of the card has been embossed with a holly embossing folder - I sponged on some Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Bundled Sage and added coloured in the berries with a red pen.  The sentiment is also from Kaisercraft - from their Wonderland Stamp Set.  It comes as one stamp but I embossed it in to the copper and split the sentiment up.  I added a touch of copper thread and a red brad from my stash.
