SMALL WORLD OF INCHIES

As you may know I do love my inchies - hence my inchy challenge blog. But mine isn't the only one - Doreen runs a great challenge blog Small World of Inchies and this week the challenge is hearts.

Here are some of mine:

Thank God Its Friday - CATS

The theme over at TGIF this week is Cats - one of my favourite animals as I have three of them. Mischief who is nearly one year old, Megan who was 9 yesterday and the old man Felix who is 15 and still catching rabbits!! You can never have too many cats, that's what I say - my DH though says one is enough for him. He's more of a dog man! LOL!

Anyway - here are some ATC's I've done using some Cherry Pie Art Stamps. The Purrfect wording is Stampin Up.

Created by Hand Challenge

The challenge this week over at Created by Hand is to use Versamark. I use a lot of versamark on my projects and I like to use embossing powders. I used it here for the background and also used it with clear embossing powder for the image of the woman and the wording.

SKETCH SATURDAY

There's a great Sketch to try over on Sketch Saturday I used some Stampin Up stamps for my images here. The Sentiment is embossed with clear embossing to make it stand out a bit more.

TMTA - ROUND

TMTA's challenge this week is to use something round on your ATC. I've used one of my Cherry Pie Art Stamps here.

4 x 4 - SHOES

Shoes are the order of the day over at 4 x 4 this week.

My first thought was Wizard of Oz and Dorothy's red shoes.

Rainbow Lady's Challenge - Fairy Door

The challenge over at Rainbow Lady this week is to use cardboard or mountboard. I've seen fairy doors as I've been going around blogging but now can't find where I originally found them. Does that happen to you? Happens to me all the time! I find a blog and see something and then can't remember how I got there.

I used some cardboard to make my fairy door and I'm going to put it on the skirting board in my craft room. I could do with the extra help - as long as they don't start eating all the biscuits!

Thanks Joanne - now I know where I first saw the fairy door - check out Joanne's great example here

My Time To Craft - Birds

Here are some birds I've done for the My Time to Craft challenge this week - the theme was birds - how did you guess? LOL

Mixed Media Monday

I'm on a roll today - managing to get some crafting done. This is for a new challenge I don't think I've joined in with before Mixed Media Monday - I've used some Stampin Up stamps here.

Moo Men!!/Arty Girlz

Make a Moo's challenge this week is Men and Arty Girlz challenge this week is faces - so I've got just the thing! I've used one of my Cherry Pie Stamps again here - his official name is Antonio. You like??? LOL

SHADOW STAMPING

Shadow Stamping - I'm not sure if that is what this technique is called but that's what I'm calling it! I've used Stampin Up's Carte Postale here because I've seen lots of flourishes in blogland recently and I like this one from this set. I started off by stamping using Versamark and then Taken With Teal and clear embossing. I also used an embossing pen to colour in the white bits to let the white card show through. I then offset the stamp again using Lovely Lilac. The cardstock was then stamped with a sponge using Perfect Plum an old SU colour, darker bits were added with black towards the left hand side. I finished it with some jewels and mounted it on Taken With Teal and Lavender Lace.
Hope you like it!

GORGEOUS WEATHER

Isn't this weather gorgeous??? Only problem is I don't want to be indoors doing any crafting! LOL! I've been busy gardening instead and just thought I'd show you some of my roses. They are really at their best now for a few weeks - they are right outside my craft room window and I can see them as I type. I'm not sure what type of rose they are as they were not planted by me - they could be Cinderella - if anyone is an expert I'd love to know. They have a very delicate scent.

I have done one card today - and I'm not so sure I'm happy with it - it looks a bit stark maybe. I've done it for a new challenge called Sketch Saturday which my good cyber friend Jo has started. I'm sorry I missed her first challenge but will try and join in from now on.

This is the sketch we have to copy

and this is my card - I used Cherry Pie Art Stamps on this one.

ANOTHER LAYOUT!!!

Wow I'm on a roll - two layouts in one day!!!! Here I scrapped some pictures of us way back in 2001 when we went to Florida for a holiday. Little did we know then that two years later we would be living in Texas! Just shows you never know what's around the corner. I used to enjoy those Back to the Future films - can you believe they are over 20 years old????

A LAYOUT!!!!!!

It's been months since I've scrapbooked - but my US Creating Keepsakes magazine landed on the mat this morning and it galvanised me into doing a page. I must admit I have a hard problem scrapping pictures of my kids when they were small - I get so emotional and nostalgic that I find it difficult. Does anyone else have this problem? How do I get over it? Anyway, I managed to do one of my DD without shedding any tears! LOL!

I used some of the SU scrapping papers - I love working with these. The rubber stamp of the horse is also SU.

I've used some of my Stampin Up background papers to make this Happy Home wall hanging. The letters are Basic Gray, other embellies are from Laura Ashley and Molly Daydream charms!

WHAT TO DO WITH INCHIES?

Over on my inchy challenge blog I've been asked the question - What do we do with Inchies?

What indeed - The quickest way I've found to use them is to add them to your cards or tags like toppers.

Or you could put them in groups and put them in photo frames or shadow boxes.

I've even seen them made into fabulous pieces of jewellery although I haven't tried this yet. What do you do with your inchies???

TMTA -WOMEN IN ART

I relied on my trust Cherry Pie Art Stamps for this ATC -
