Over at my Facebook Group The Joy of Sets I run a monthly challenge which is Birthstones. The birthstone for July is Ruby. At the Joy of Sets we use current and retired Stampin' Up! products whether they are stamps, DSP, inks etc.
I've used an old SU ink here called Ruby Red for my ink. I've used Painter's Palette and Pretty Kitty together which I think is a very cute combination.
I've used some of our new DSP Wood Textures as the background.
If you are on Facebook and would like to join in with my group -click on the link below. In just over three months we have 2,500 members!!!
It's Christmas in July again at Watercooler Wednesday with Kath's Non-Traditional Christmas Colors Challenge.
I've chosen to use the beautiful snowflakes from the Colourful Seasons set and the matching Seasonal Layers thinlets. This is a change of colours for me as I must admit I'm normally and green and red kind of girl for Christmas. Here I've used three blues, Night of Navy, Pool Party and Soft Sky with a smattering of our new Glitter Enamel Dots. The greeting is from the retired set Santa's Message.

Its another blog hop from the Pootlers Team today - this time we are on Simply Sketched Saturday Challenge duty. Instead of a sketch this month we have chosen a Colour Challenge -
You should have heard the groans when we saw Calypso Coral - poor thing doesn't get a lot of love - but maybe it is one of your favourites? Fresh Fig and Blushing Bride are two of our new In-Colours and they are just stunning.
I used Smoky Slate as my base cardstock. I don't own any Calypso Coral inks but realised that it is in the Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper so I used this as my background paper. I wanted to try and get a vintage feel with my card for this rose - it looks like a Tea Rose to me and they are such old-fashioned roses with gorgeous scent. This Floral Statements set is just stunning - just two stamps but I think they are going to be the quiet stealers of our new Catalogue.
Here I've used the Thanks stamp - there is also an Hello. I coloured the roses in with a Blender Pen in both Blushing Bride and Fresh Fig. The leaves and stems were coloured using Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive. I then roughed up the edges of the Whisper White cardstock and sponged it all over with a very fine inking of Crumb Cake. The edges were inked with Fresh Fig and Blushing Bride.
Do you see the gorgeous Ribbon? Its one of our new ones called Powder Pink Shimmer and I love it. The Shimmer ribbons and the Crinkle Crease are my favourites this year.
I layered this onto some more Smoky Slate Cardstock which was also inked at the edges with Fresh Fig. The little dots which have been Versamarked down the edge are from the Watercolor Wings set.
I'm sorry to say I used a retired punch for the butterfly - cutting it out of the same DSP and adding some Basic Pearls.
Wink of Stella has been used on the THANKS and the roses just to add a bit more shimmer.
I hope you've enjoyed my project - pop along to Dee's page in to see some more inspiration.

I'm the hostess for the challenge this week at Watercooler Wednesday and this week is a Masculine "Anything Goes" challenge.
I don't actually have any masculine stamp sets per se so had to think outside the box for this one a bit. I chose Bookcase Builder as I love all the images in that set and lots of them could be for a masculine theme. Here I've taken two blue coloured cardstocks for the layers and stamped the stag head from the set just randomly over Soft Sky card stock with Basic Gray ink. A touch of red for the heart just lifts the images a bit. I've used the Stitched Framelits for the sentiment and the sentiment comes from Colourful Seasons.
Hubby is going to get this one one day when he's least expecting it because he does still make me smile, even after 36 years together. Maybe I'll put it in with his lunch and embarass him at work - what do you think?

Anyone want to join me in a cup of coffee? When I first saw the new catalogue this was the set that jumped out at me first - I just love it. I do love coffee - it has to be strong, dark, black, no sugar! I couldn't wait to get my hands on this whole suite. I even treated myself to two new inks that I didn't have - Soft Suede and Crumb Cake.
The challenge over at Global Design Project#092 this week is CASE the designer. Click on the image below to go and see all the lovely inspiration.
Whilst I do have Jar of Love I decided I wanted to CASE the arrangement of this card and use the Coffee Cafe. This is a set of 16 Stamps and Coffee Cup matching framelits which you can buy as a bundle.
There is lots of sponging on the coffee cups. I'm not sure if you can see the little banner but it is one of the framelits and it cuts it out as if it is the corrugated paper round the cups to stop you burning your fingers. Inspired! The little hearT comes from the Corrugated Elements that is part of this set. I've added a touch of Linen Thread and popped them all up on dimensionals. I have also used some Burlap Ribbon and the Coffee Break Designer Series Papers.
I love this Suite and I think it will go down really well in the coffee shops when I run my Coffee and Card classes.

What a gorgeous Stamp set Floral Statements is. You may have overlooked it in the catalogue and it is only two stamps but they are fast becoming my favourites. They come in Hello and Thanks and today I wanted to use the Thanks.
I decided to go for a blue rose - no idea why. And then I saw the challenge over at Inkspirational #137 so that was quite apt. Click on the image to go to the challenge and join in.
I used three ink colours for my roses, Soft Sky, Night of Navy and Pacific Point. I used Pear Pizazz and a touch of Soft Suede for the leaves. All of it is heavily covered with a Wink of Stella.
The cardstock is layered onto some of our new Designer Series Paper which is the Colour Theory pack - I love the crackled effect of this blue one and I've layered it into Night of Navy.
Did you notice the ribbon? It is so lovely - I have been in a ribbon swap with some other SU Demo's - its a great way of getting a sample of ribbon rather than having to buy them all - that way you can find out your favourites - one of mine is this Crinkle Seam Binding Ribbon in Night of Navy. A heart enamelled shape finishes off the card.

Welcome to The Pootlers Team Blog Hop to launch the new 2017 Catalogue - we have some great projects for you showcasing some of our wonderful new products.
I have chosen to go with Daisy Delight Stamp set and the wonderful Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper - I seriously love this paper - I have used a whole pack already.
There is a Daisy Punch to go with this set which is getting a lot of the attention. I wanted to focus on the other stamps in this set which are so pretty.
I have used Old Olive and one of our new inks Lemon Lime Twist for the stems. I have stamped the daisies in Daffodil Delight and Tangerine Tango. These daisies are two step stamping which gives you co-ordinating stamps to produce the pretty flowers. I've layered the DSP onto black cardstock and it shows you the two sides here of this lovely paper.
The sentiment stamped onto one of our banner framelits is from another new set Colourful Seasons. I have wound some of the lovely Copper Metallic thread around the base of the stems. Some Enamel shapes finish off the card.

Marsha is hosting this week's challenge and the theme is Fireworks. Wow - what a tricky theme but that's why its a Challenge! lol! Click on the Fireworks image above to go to our site and join in with us.
I had to turn to my Daisy Punch for my card as I really didn't have any stamps that look remotely like fireworks. But I think these daisies in our new In-Colours do a great job. The Celebration sentiment is from a retired Project Life set. It was embossed in Silver Embossing powder and some of our new Glitter Enamel dots help to make it shine even more. I think these colours against the Basic Black really do pop.
For all the challenge details and to share your project, visit the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge by clicking the fireworks image above. We'd love to have you join us.
I'm looking forward to seeing all your creations.

There's another chance of joining Kylie Bertucci's International Blog Hop for June and the theme this month is BABY. I don't have many baby sets or stamps but the very versatile Bookcase Builder has come up trumps.
I decided to do a Waterfall Card. The background paper was done using our sponge daubers and just using Powder Pink, Lemon Lime Twist and Daffodil Delight. A great way to make your background paper. Just ink and stamp with the dauber.
I used the same three colours for the images of the bear, the ducks, the bottles and the pig and the sentiment when it is pulled down says Today's Little Moments Become Tomorrow's Precious Memories - a sentiment from this lovely set.
If you like my card I'd love you to vote for me - you can find the link here to vote for your favourite

Although my birthday is in May - Sam allows us to join in with her Birthday Blog Hop if we also have birthdays falling within that month - June is one of the busiest months for me birthday wise with a total of 4 family birthdays (it should be five but I lost my sister in 1999). Four friends also have their birthdays in June so I need a lot of cards.
My card today is all about the Daisies - Daisy Delight Stamp Set, Daisy Punch and Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper - I just adore these papers.
I've gone for a Bursting Technique - I'm not sure if that's its correct title but that's what I'm calling it. Where the images bursts through the paper.
My image is the punched out Daisy on top of a stamped daisy popping out of the DSP. Dazzing Diamonds are covering the middle of the daisy.
The papers show the two sides of this particular sheet of DSP. The butterfly is from the Bold Butterfly Framelits and has been cut out in the same DSP with some added Basic Rhinestones. The sentiment is from Bella and Friends and has been embossed with White Embossing Powder.
