I CHOSE "EYES" AS MY THEME



THE FIRST ONE USES A FABULOUS STAMP AS THE MAIN IMAGE OF THE EYES FROM THIRD COAST STAMPS. I'VE ADDED SOME ORANGE JEWELS JUST TO MAKE THEM APPEAR MORE EERY. I'VE ALSO USED A BACKGROUND IMAGE FROM THE STAMP CONNECTION TO MAKE IT LOOK AS THOUGH THE ANIMAL IS BEHIND A CAGE. EXTRA STAMPS ON THE BACKGROUND OF THE BOOKMARK ARE FROM CHERRY PIE.









THE SECOND IMAGE ALSO USES CHERRY PIE STAMPS ON A COASTER.

JIGSAW PIECES:


2cre8art have a great challenge up this week - Jigsaws pieces. I couldn't get hold of any jigsaw pieces quick enough but I do have some great Cherry Pie stamps in the shape of jigsaws. I stamped them onto mountboard and coloured them - the one on the left was coloured in with Stampin Up marker pens, the one on the right with Luminart inks - it has a great shimmer to it.







ART FREEBIES CHALLENGE GAVE US A COBWEB BACKGROUND TO WORK WITH -

ONCE AGAIN MY CHERRY PIE STAMPS GOT AN AIRING. THERE IS A SILVER EMBOSSED MOON IN THE TOP RIGHT CORNER - NOT SURE IF YOU CAN SPOT IT. THE WORDING ON THE DRESS SAYS:

INCHY BY INCH CHALLENGE/SATURDAY SURPRISE

Aren't these inchies just gorgeous - Frankie calls them little jewels and Frankie is our Guest Designer over on inchy challenge blog this week. Why don't you come and play with us. Frankie is putting up a tutorial on her blog to share her technique for making these gorgeous inchies.

Here are mine - though I'm not over the moon with them.

Another new challenge site for me this week Saturday Surprise asked us to do a Sewing Basket. Well, I'm not much good at sewing - I can just about sew on a button so don't really have a sewing basket. But its amazing what you find in your stash and I found these embellishments - I knew they'd come in handy one day.

I'm chuffed to see I made it on to the Wednesday Stamper sampler last week. Two in one week - now....there was only one ambition I had left - I wonder did I make it???????

YES I DID - woohoo - its been an ambition to be featured on an Arty Girlz sampler and I managed the very last one - thanks girls - hurry back!!!!

ARTY GIRLZ LAST CHALLENGE!/STAMPIN UP NEW CHALLENGE BLOG

I've had an emotional last few days with my daughter having to be hospitalised suddenly but thankfully she's home now. But I was shocked to read from Julie and Crissi that they are stopping their Arty Girlz challenge blog for the time being. This has been such a popular blog and I know they'll be sorely missed in blogland. Thanks girls for such a great challenge over the past months - what are we going to do without you?


Here's my Tag for the last challenge: I've used one of my new Stamp Connection stamps that I received as blog Candy from Jennie at Artistic Stamper, together with a Cherry Pie stamp and SU stamp.

CHERRY PIE

I've just received one of my new stamps from Cherry Pie which was the image of the girl - I think I'll be using this one a lot. Here I've stamped her and layered her on the card - all other stamps are also Cherry Pie.

A great start to the week for me as I learned I won the Blog Candy from The Artistic Stamper for the Objet D'art challenge - can't wait to play with some new rubber. Woohoo - thanks Jennie!

Theme Thursday/Objet D'art Challenge/Art Freebies

Theme Thursday has the challenge of flowers for this week. I've just got this new flower stamp from Stampin' Up! and wanted to have a go with it.

The Challenge over at Objet D'art is to use a photo and play with it. I've redone a card I did sometime ago which has proved a great favourite. The image was of a beach on our holiday in Mexico - the stamp is Stampin Up.

Another new challenge blog for me today was Art Freebies - the art we were given was a piece of papyrus.

I rummaged around my rubber stamps and found some Egyptian style ones I'd forgotten about but which I felt were perfect for this image.

Sunday Postcard Art

Another new challenge site for me today - Sunday Postcard Art. Their challenge this week courtesy of a Guest Designer is Words of Wisdom.

I decided to do four postcards and change them into a type of Tag Book. My words of wisdom are on the front page - BE WITH THOSE WHO HELP YOUR BEING - I'm not sure where this quote is from - its something I picked up in a book but it really seemed to go with what I wanted to do which was a family tag book.

I LOVE THE INTERNET. THANKS TO AUNTY'S FORUM I HAVE "MET" MANY SPECIAL LADIES WHO HAVE BECOME FRIENDS.

ONE OF THE MOST SPECIAL IS ROSIE - MOST OF YOU WITHIN BLOGLAND WILL KNOW ROSIE AND HER FABULOUS ART. SHE NOTICES WHEN PEOPLE AREN'T AROUND, WHEN THEY'RE FEELING DOWN - HOW SHE DOES IT I'LL NEVER KNOW AS SHE IS SO BUSY AS A MUM, CARER, ARTIST, WORKER....BUT SHE STILL FINDS TIME TO LET OTHERS KNOW SHE'S THINKING OF THEM.
