I love Autumn - it's my favourite time of year and I fall in love with it every time it comes round. The challenge over at Global Design Project #GDP159 this week is very similar - Fall in Love -
My card was inspired by one of Michelle Zindorf's cards using Beautiful You and I used the trees from the new Winter Woods set. I used one of the stamps from Timeless Textures to add the leaves at the bottom. The sentiment is from another retired set Yay You.
I used a mixture of some old and current SU inks for the leaves - Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, More Mustard and Really Rust. I used a leaf from the retired set Apple of my Eye and some versamark ink to create the background on the backing paper. I'm also adding this into the following challenges - Sunday Stamps - Colour Challenge - Fall The Paper Players - Trees and Leaves Allsorts Challenge - Trees and Leaves SU Only Challenge #SUOC209 - Holiday Catalogue - I've used Winter Woods
I love to play around with different fold cards and this one was inspired by the fabulous Dawn Griffith - love it! As I've 'borrowed' this idea from Dawn I'm including this card in the As You See It challenge this week - their theme is Something Borrowed. My Card is also going into the TGIF challenge #tgifc157 this week which is a Tic Tac Toe challenge - I love these challenges! - so much to choose from: I'm using the pink, pearls, flowers for the top row. I've also used the colours suggested by the Color Throwdown challenge this week - this gorgeous image is apparently of a cafe in London - wow I've never been but as London is only an hour away from me it's definitely on my wish list now.
I've used Stampin Up Powder Pink card stock for the base along with some Very Vanilla and Perfect Plum for the cut out of the chair sponged with Perfect Plum round the edges. The chair has been layered on to papers cut with the Stitched Framelits. The backing paper which is so pretty and has all of the colour choices in it is from a stack called Once Upon A Time by Craft Sensations. Such a pretty paper. I've used Colourful Seasons for the stamping and the sentiment is from Feather Together stamped in Pear Pizazz. I've added some basic pearls to the flowers which are from the matching framelits for Colourful Seasons.
This is the inside of the card which has been stamped in Regal Rose and Soft Suede with the Sentiment from Beautiful You. This card is winging its way to my sister-in-law for her birthday- I hope she likes it.
I'm also including this card in the Make My Monday #69 challenge which is In The Garden.
Another Wednesday comes round quick and our challenge this week is Gail's Feminine Anything Goes Challenge. It has been a while since I've stamped with the Beautiful You set so I thought it deserved another outing. I've paired it here with some of the new Color Theory Designer Series Paper in Berry Burst. The image of the girl is actually on the inside of the card as I've shown below. I've cut out the oval on the front of the card using the Stitched Framelits and when closed the image pops through.
I used the new In-Colours for the background of Berry Burst, Fresh Fig and Powder Pink and then stamped the woman on top in Basic Black. A touch of our new gorgeous Shimmery Powder Pink Ribbon finishes off the card. I look forward to seeing all your examples - do pop along to the rest of the Design Team and leave them a comment - we love to hear from you.
Wow - how quick did that week go - and here we are with another challenge for Watercooler Wednesday. This week its Judy's All About Birthdays challenge. I've chosen to use Jar of Love and the new Daisy Punch for my card.
I fancied a chnage of colours to some blues for a change. The Jar of Love was cut with the matching framelits and I also cut out a piece of vellum for the jar to make it look like glass. It doesn't quite show up in the photo. Just at bottom left you can see a stamped image of one of the flowers from the Delightful Daisy set - I cut this image out and put it at the bottom of the jar cause petals and flowers often fall off and land on tables don't they? I've also used some of the gorgeous new DSP from the Color Theory pack which has that lovely crackled effect.
The sentiment comes from Beautiful You. The centres of the flowers are filled with some of those gorgeous Glitter Enamel Dots - you really need to see them in the flesh to appreciate them.
Thanks for dropping by my blog - please check out all the other inspirational projects from the Design Team and drop them a comment - we love to hear from you. Click on the Watercooler image at the top of here to be taken to the blog and come and play along with us.
I've been neglecting the Beautiful You set lately as there have been some lovely new sets to play with but today I thought it deserved an outing with a twist - including the new Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper.
I used the papers as a background but also cut it out for her dress. I have layered her onto Old Olive and added a dotted background with a white pen to simulate a window or as if she is looking in a mirror.
I added some butterflies - one with the sadly now retired Bitty Bitty punch but the other larger butterfly ws cut out with Winged Blossoms framelits. I added some Enamel dots to the butterflies, a bit of sponging on the smaller one. There is Wink of Stella on the butterflies, on her hat and on the dress. The hat was coloured in with a touch of Watermelon Wonder using a blender en.
The sentiment from the same set was embossed with white embossing powder and a touch of Lace Ribbon finishes off the card.
I know a very stylish lady who is going to receive this for her birthday.
How exciting to be chosen as winner at CAS Colours and Sketches again this week for my butterfly card. It's a great honour especially as I'm still learning the art of Clean and Simple. My next card is definitely neither Clean nor Simple. It is however going in to the Global Design Project #GDP089 challenge this week which is a colour challenge. I was sad to hear Kylie Bertucci is leaving the group which I believe she set up. I've 'met' Kylie through FB and belong to a few of her groups - it sounds as though she is moving on to something exciting and I wish her lots of luck.
I had actually just made this card this morning and started to do a video tutorial but my phone died so the tutorial will be added later. It was just lucky I had been using these colours anyway -apart from the black which had to be just sneaked in there somewhere! lol Anyway my card is a Tri Fold Shutter card - it looks complicated to do but isn't really once you get going and it definitely has the Wow factor. It also uses lots of small pieces of DSP so go one get cutting - and it doens't actually use a lot of DSP.
Trying to take decent pictures though is a whole other problem. For this card I used some of the Delightful Daisy DSP - I love this - I've nearly gone through a whole pack already. I also used the Daisy Delight stamps, some of the sentiments from Colourful Seasons and Beautiful You. I used my now retiring butterfly punches, I'm keeping hold of those though. And the butterfly on the front was from Bold Butterfly Framelits.
Here's another example of the same type of card using different papers in this DSP.
It has been a while since both of these sets have had an airing from me. Both lovely stamp sets in their own right but they do also go so well together. The challenge over at Inkspirational Challenge this week is Urban - hmm - tricky one for me but then I remembered the lovely street scene from Mediterranean Moments.
I used the gorgeous Island Indigo for my card - both as the cardstock and for the accent colours in the imges. I used some of our lovely Copper Embossing Powder and the now retired Delicate Details for the lace embossed iamge. The wording is from a Project Live set. A touch of the Copper Metallic thread finished off the card. She looks Adventure Bound, don't you think?
It's a colour challenge over at Global Design Project this week with one of our very own Pootlers Anna Krol as Guest Designer.
Two of these colours are my favourites - Watermelon Wonder and Mint Macaron and I will be sorry to see them go so it was lovely to be able to use them in our challenge this week. I took inspiration from my card from a card I received from a RAK group I am part of. My thanks to Jenny Reed for her inspiration.
I stamped the girl image first in Watermelon Wonder and then masked her off. I then used the stamp from Mediterranean Moments and stamped it in Mint Macaron. I used the Stitched Framlet dies to make the frame to fram her image. I coloured in her umbrella with Delightful Dijon (I'm going to miss this colour - it reminds me of the old More Mustard). I just ran my blender pen over her dress just to pick up some of the Watermelon Wonder colour. A touch of Wink of Stella on the umbrella and the sentiment stamped in Watermelon Wonder finishes off this card.
I have a panel card for you today - these are a great way of using all that lovely Designer Series Paper we have. I've shown two examples using Beautiful You and Dragonfly Dreams. It is measurement heavy - I have done a Youtube tutorial which is shown below but here are the measurements for you also. The Beautiful You uses Falling in Love Designer Series Paper.
The Dragonfly Dreams uses Succulent Garden DSP

Thank you for hopping by to my blog courtesy of Marie Green's wonderful blog. What wonderful projects she has made for us.
I'm delighted to be part of the blog hop for Watercooler Wednesday and in our hop we are celebrating everything Sale-A-Bration - it only lasts until the end of March so if you have fallen in love with Hey Chick, Delicate Details, Avant-Garden to name just a few time is running out for you to get these items for FREE! Here are some of my ideas for you for using some of our Sale-A-Bration offers.
WATERFALL CARD - HEY CHICK
I'm sure lots of you have made waterfall cards - they are much simpler than they look but they definitely have the Wow factor. Here's one I did with Hey Chick for a class and they loved it.
I used Mint Macaron - sadly this colour will be leaving us at the end of May and it has been one of my favourites. I used Watercolour Pencils to colour in the chicks and a touch of Dazzling Diamonds on the Cockrels feathers.
T
This is a really quick YouTube video I did just to show my customers what we were going to be doing that evening.
AVANT-GARDEN - PANEL CARD
Another one of my favourite sets from Sale-A-Bration was the lovely Avant-Garden and I will be sorry to see this go. HereI've done a Panel Card. The base is Whisper White and the Designer Series Paper is the Succulent Garden - I love these papers. They are so so pretty.
DELICATE DETAILS - SQUARE CARD
My final card for Sale-A-Bration uses Delicate Details - yet again another lovely set of stamps that I will be sorry to see leave us. I made a square card this time and used some of the papers from Falling In Love Designer Series Paper.
The Delicate Details were stamped by with Early Espresso. I've also used one of the lovely dancing images from Beautiful You and the sentiment Celebrate .... because it looks as though she may be celebrating something. A touch of Very Vanilla lace trim at the bottom of the card finishes it off. The girls dress was coloured in with Watercolour Pencils and a touch of Wink of Stella.
I hope you've enjoyed my projects - I will be doing tutorials on all of them on my youtube channel so do pop back and have a look.
Now onwards on the hop to Sherri Lee and see what she has in store.

It is case the designer over at Global Design Project this week and this is Kylies card for us to CASE.
In this instance CASE stands for Copy and Selectively Edit but I have also seen it to be known as Copy and Share Everything.
My card uses the gorgeous Falling Petals Embossing folder which I have just treated myself to - I love it. I wanted to use it as the background for this card. I've added some of the gorgeous Lace Trim and added a flower from Botanical Blooms Framelits. The flower was cut out in Whisper White, Melon Mambo and the middle inked with Night of Navy. I have used Melon Mambo card stock and Night of Navy cardstock as layering. The sentiment comes from Beautiful You and was cut out of an oval Stitched Framelit with the addition of a Melon Mambo enamel shape. There are some Dazzling Diamonds on the inside of the flower and some Wink of Stella on some of the hearts on the background. We had a great night at one of my Hygge Night crafting evenings on Thursday with the ladies really enjoying doing a Waterfall card with the wonderful Hey Chick stamp set. If you're in my area of Andover, Hampshire UK why not come along to my next one.
And, just for cuteness overload, I'm including a photo of my daughter's new pup - meet Cooper, a Cavalier King Charles - new to the family. Isn't he adorable?
