SNOW DAY

Just as we thought spring was on its way in the UK we got hit with winter and lots of snow.  I chose this theme and my photos of my son, hubby and the dogs as we enjoyed the snow.  As you can see the dogs had a fabulous time.

My layout was inspired by the Let's Get Sketchy challenge blog and their sketch

My background paper was one that I had in my stash - I've added some DSP from Stampin Up and some stamps from Project Life Remember This.  The snowflakes have been cut out with the Seasonal Thinlets.

FOLD CARD

I love to play around with different fold cards and this one was inspired by the fabulous Dawn Griffith - love it!  As I've 'borrowed' this idea from Dawn I'm including this card in the As You See It challenge this week - their theme is Something Borrowed.

My Card is also going into the TGIF challenge #tgifc157  this week which is a Tic Tac Toe challenge - I love these challenges! - so much to choose from: I'm using the pink, pearls, flowers for the top row.

I've also used the colours suggested by the Color Throwdown challenge this week - this gorgeous image is apparently of a cafe in London - wow I've never been but as London is only an hour away from me it's definitely on my wish list now.

I've used Stampin Up Powder Pink card stock for the base along with some Very Vanilla and Perfect Plum for the cut out of the chair sponged with Perfect Plum round the edges. The chair has been layered on to papers cut with the Stitched Framelits.  The backing paper which is so pretty and has all of the colour choices in it is from a stack called Once Upon A Time by Craft Sensations.  Such a pretty paper.

I've used Colourful Seasons for the stamping and the sentiment is from Feather Together stamped in Pear Pizazz.  I've added some basic pearls to the flowers which are from the matching framelits for Colourful Seasons.

This is the inside of the card which has been stamped in Regal Rose and Soft Suede with the Sentiment from Beautiful You.  This card is winging its way to my sister-in-law for her birthday- I hope she likes it.

I'm also including this card in the Make My Monday #69 challenge which is In The Garden.

JOY OF SETS CHALLENGE - JOS #005 - THE LETTER ''J'

http://joyofsetschallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2017/08/jos-005-letter-j.html
We are up to our fifth challenge already at Joy of Sets.  This time we are working with the letter J.

I chose to use Jar of Love as I love this set - it is so versatile as can be seen from the Design Team examples.

I've used some of the new gorgeous Coffee Break DSP for the background which goes so well with the Island Indigo cardstock.  The jar itself has been cut out of the same cardstock and given a glitter wash with Wink of Stella.  The stems and hearts have been cut out of Everyday Jars Framelits and the flowers from Seasonal Layers thinlets.  The sentiment is from Watercolor Wings.

I hope you join in with our challenge this week and go and visit the Design Team and leave them a comment.

Happy Crafting

DAISY DELIGHT - TIME OUT CHALLENGE #83

The Daisy Delight suite is such a fun set of stamps and I nearly over-looked it.  The punch is so easy to use and the punched flower is so versatile.

The challenge over at Time Out this week is to CASE the  card by Hannelie

I used Daisy Delight, Tangerine Tango and the new Berry Burst for my colour combination.  I cut out a circle with the Stitched Framelits and inked up the colours.  I first used the swirl framelit from the Seasonal Layers Framelits to add extra detail to the circle.  The daisies were simply punched out of Whisper White and stamped with Daisy Delight and Tangerine Tango.  The added dots and the sentiment were also stamped in Daisy Delight.

I love the way this card turned out - it looks such a fun card.  You can't go wrong with daisies really. They always remind me of Meg Ryan in You've Got Mail - love that film.
