Watercooler Wednesday #WWC135 - Judy's Feminine "Anything Goes" Challenge

http://watercoolerchallenges.blogspot.co.uk/

Judy has chosen our challenge for this week and it's one with a feminine touch.

I've chosen to use Daisy Delight for my card and used a technique which is called the Easel Card.

I have used some of the Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper and the elusive Daisy Punch - I say elusive because it was hard to get when it was first introduced in the new catalogue.  The sentiment and the little daisies are from the Stamp Set Daisy Delight.

These little cards are very simple to make and I've added a tutorial below. Let me know if you make one - I'd love to have a look.

Please visit the rest of the Design Team and check out their inspiration for you.

DAISY DELIGHT - NO PUNCH CARD

Sometimes demand just outstrips supply - sadly this has happened with the Daisy Punch and there is a back order for this popular little punch. I was lucky enough to get one initially but in case you haven't but you have the gorgeous Daisy Delight stamp set - fear not - there are lots of lovely projects you can do with this stamp set and not include the punch.

Here's one of my cards using the stamps and the Delightful Daisy DSP.

I've added a touch of one of our new ribbons here also to show you.  Ribbons are such personal things - don't you think?  I think they are very tactile and sometimes we need to touch and see them to appreciate their beauty.  Well, I do anyway.  I joined in with a ribbon swap which is a great way of getting to see the ribbons without the cost of buying all of them just to see which ones you like.  The one I have included here is definitely on my must have list.  It's Crinkle Seam Binding Ribbon in Night of Navy.  Funny though I have heard some people say they would need to iron the crinkles out - nooooo!!

Here's a You Tube tutorial for you

WATERCOOLER WEDNESDAY CHALLENGE - #127 - JUDY'S ALL ABOUT BIRTHDAYS

http://watercoolerchallenges.blogspot.co.uk/

Wow - how quick did that week go - and here we are with another challenge for Watercooler Wednesday.  This week its Judy's All About Birthdays challenge.  I've chosen to use Jar of Love and the new Daisy Punch for my card.

I fancied a chnage of colours to some blues for a change.  The Jar of Love was cut with the matching framelits and I also cut out a piece of vellum for the jar to make it look like glass.  It doesn't quite show up in the photo.  Just at bottom left you can see a stamped image of one of the flowers from the Delightful Daisy set - I cut this image out and put it at the bottom of the jar cause petals and flowers often fall off and land on tables don't they?

I've also used some of the gorgeous new DSP from the Color Theory pack which has that lovely crackled effect.

The sentiment comes from Beautiful You. The centres of the flowers are filled with some of those gorgeous Glitter Enamel Dots - you really need to see them in the flesh to appreciate them.

Thanks for dropping by my blog - please check out all the other inspirational projects from the Design Team and drop them a comment - we love to hear from you.  Click on the Watercooler image at the top of here to be taken to the blog and come and play along with us.

DAISY DELIGHT

A very busy card from me today - using some of the Delightful Daisy DSP and the Daisy Delight stamp set and punch.  This punch has proven very popular with availabililty not being able to keep up with demand at present so I'm glad I got my order in early.

I used Tangerine Tango and Night of Navy for the cardstock.  The daisy was stamped twice in Night of Navy and punched out with a Glitter enamel dot in the middle.  I used the Stitched Framelits for layering the daisy and added a little punched out butterfly.

The sentiments are from the same set.

I'm adding this to As You See It Challenge #152 which is a sketch challenge.

POOTLES NEW CATALOGUE BLOG HOP - DAISY DELIGHT

Welcome to The Pootlers Team Blog Hop to launch the new 2017 Catalogue - we have some great projects for you showcasing some of our wonderful  new products.

I have chosen to go with Daisy Delight Stamp set and the wonderful Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper - I seriously love this paper - I have used a whole pack already.

There is a Daisy Punch to go with this set which is getting a lot of the attention.  I wanted to focus on the other stamps in this set which are so pretty.

I have used Old Olive and one of our new inks Lemon Lime Twist for the stems.  I have stamped the daisies in Daffodil Delight and Tangerine Tango.  These daisies are two step stamping which gives you co-ordinating stamps to produce the pretty flowers.  I've layered the DSP onto black cardstock and it shows you the two sides here of this lovely paper.

The sentiment stamped onto one of our banner framelits is from another new set Colourful Seasons.  I have wound some of the lovely Copper Metallic thread around the base of the stems.  Some Enamel shapes finish off the card.

Pop along to Joanne's Blog to carry on the blog hop.

POOTLES BIRTHDAY BLOG HOP - JUNE

Although my birthday is in May - Sam allows us to join in with her Birthday Blog Hop if we also have birthdays falling within that month - June is one of the busiest months for me birthday wise with a total of 4 family birthdays (it should be five but I lost my sister in 1999).  Four friends also have their birthdays in June so I need a lot of cards.

My card today is all about the Daisies - Daisy Delight Stamp Set, Daisy Punch and Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper - I just adore these papers.

I've gone for a Bursting Technique - I'm not sure if that's its correct title but that's what I'm calling it. Where the images bursts through the paper.

My image is the punched out Daisy on top of a stamped daisy popping out of the DSP.  Dazzing Diamonds are covering the middle of the daisy.

The papers show the two sides of this particular sheet of DSP.  The butterfly is from the Bold Butterfly Framelits and has been cut out in the same DSP with some added Basic Rhinestones. The sentiment is from Bella and Friends and has been embossed with White Embossing Powder.

DAISY DELIGHT AND DELIGHTFUL DAISY!

The gorgeous Delightful Daisy suite has the lovely Stamp Set and gorgeous papers to match.  I've already gone through a whole pack full and have to order another one.

The challenge over at As You See It this week is a sketch challenge. Click on the image to go to their site.

 http://www.asyouseeitchallenge.com/2017/06/a-banner-day.html

I too am a cat lover - I have two and would have more if I could. And I was tempted to use Pretty Kitty but the papers of Delightful Daisy were calling to me. I also love using the other stamps in this set which deserve recognition as well as the big daisy stamp and punch.

I used one sheet of the Designer Series Paper from this Suite and this shows you both sides - the lovely ombre faded Old Olive green and the other side is wonderful bright yellow daisies.  I stamped the two step stamping daisies in Daffodil Delight and Tangeinr Tango.  The stems were inked in Pear Pizazz and I added a touch of our Linen Thread.  The Just For You banner is actually from an old but favourite set Banner Banter which had the matching punch.  A touch of Rhinestones in the middle of the daisies finished off this card.

DAISY DELIGHT TRI FOLD SHUTTER CARD

How exciting to be chosen as winner at CAS Colours and Sketches again this week for my butterfly card.  It's a great honour especially as I'm still learning the art of Clean and Simple.

My next card is definitely neither Clean nor Simple.  It is however going in to the Global Design Project #GDP089 challenge this week which is a colour challenge.  I was sad to hear Kylie Bertucci is leaving the group which I believe she set up. I've 'met' Kylie through FB and belong to a few of her groups - it sounds as though she is moving on to something exciting and I wish her lots of luck.

 http://www.global-design-project.com/2017/05/global-design-project-089-colour.html

I had actually just made this card this morning and started to do a video tutorial but my phone died so the tutorial will be added later.  It was just lucky I had been using these colours anyway -apart from the black which had to be just sneaked in there somewhere! lol

Anyway my card is a Tri Fold Shutter card - it looks complicated to do but isn't really once you get going and it definitely has the Wow factor.    It also uses lots of small pieces of DSP so go one get cutting - and it doens't actually use a lot of DSP.

Trying to take decent pictures though is a whole other problem.  For this card I used some of the Delightful Daisy DSP - I love this - I've nearly gone through a whole pack already.  I also used the Daisy Delight stamps, some of the sentiments from Colourful Seasons and Beautiful You.  I used my now retiring butterfly punches, I'm keeping hold of those though.  And the butterfly on the front was from Bold Butterfly Framelits.

Here's another example of the same type of card using different papers in this DSP.

Here is the YouTube tutorial for you

DAISY DELIGHT - CAS COLOURS AND SKETCHES #224

I can't seem to leave this little Daisy set alone - and I love the papers which go with it.

The challenge over at CAS Colours and Sketches this week is a sketch - how simple is this? Click on the image to go to their site.

 http://cascoloursandsketches.blogspot.co.uk/2017/05/challenge-224-sketch.html

I kept my card as a one layer and added a strip of the Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper in the gorgeous Night of Navy colour.  I then added two punch outs of the daisy both still in the DSP and added them back to back and curled their petals.  A simple pearl in the middle and the sentiment finished off the card.  I then walked away lol!

All products will be available from my store on 1st June!  Not long now!

DAISY DELIGHT MEETS WATERCOLOR WINGS

A new stamp set meets an old favourite.  The Watercolor Wings works so well with our gorgeous new In-Colours - for the butterfly here I've  used Lemon Lime Twist, Powder Pink and stamped off Fresh Fig, just to soften the Fresh Fig a little.

This set works well with the Bold Butterfly Framelit Dies which I used to cut out the little butterfly.

I've been doing a few CAS challenges lately and its nice to throw loads of goodies at a card for a change.  This is definitely not CAS!

I've also used the Daisy Delight stamp and the Designer Series Paper.  I can see that these two combined are going to prove to be some of my favourites this year.

The cardstock is Fresh Fig.  There is some Wink of Stella on the petals of the daisy, and on the butterfly.  A Glitter Enamel Dot is used in the middle of the daisy and a few enamel dots on the butterfly.

I'm including this card in the challenge for #TGIFC108 - They have a sketch challenge this week.

I'm also including it in Stamp Ink Paper's challenge this week which is Card Maker's Choice - click on the image to be taken to their site.

DAISY DELIGHT

http://cascoloursandsketches.blogspot.co.uk/

I enjoy joining in with the various challenge blogs - they take me out of my comfort zone and encourage me to try something I wouldn't normally - especially the Clean and Simple ones - I'm delighted that my card was chosen as Winner of the Week #222 - Thank you!!!

I've found another two new challenge blog on my travels -  one is Color Throwdown

Their Challenge #443 is the following:Turquoise, Lime Green, Yellow and White

The other is Sunday Stamps

Do you see a bit of a theme here?  I love the way Stampin' Up! is bang on trend with their colours!!  h Lemon Lime Twist - have I mentioned how I adore this colour previously?  Lol - followers of my You Tube will know how much I love this colour and I'm not normally a lemon/lime girl unless it's in a Gin and Tonic!

So for my card I've used Lemon Lime Twist, Tempting Turquoise and Daffodil Delight, all Stampin' Up! inks.

I used Tempting Turquoise cardstock as my base and White Watercolour paper to do a colour wsh of the Tempting Turqoise and Lemon Lime Twist.  I used the new Daisy Delight stamp set and matching punch. I punched out the daisy four times - two in Whisper White cardstock which I inked up with Daffodil Delight and a touch of Lemon Lime Twist.  Two daisies were punched out of our retiring Designer Series Papers.  A Glitter enamel dot in Lemon Lime Twist was added to the centre of the flower and it was popped up on dimensionals.

Such a bright fun card - hopefully it will brighten someone's day.

DAISY DELIGHT/BEST BIRDS - TGIF CHALLENGE #TGIFC107

This is a new Challenge blog to me so I thought I would give it a go.  Their theme is  Sympathy or Get Well - click on the image below to go to their challenge.

 Image may contain: text

I don't actually have any stamps with any of those sort of sentiments on them so I turned to Best Birds for the sentiment and the lovely Daisy Delight for the images.

I wanted to show there is more to this set than the large daisy and the punch.

The square images actually came about by accident - I had cut out three square framelits with the Big Shot and was left with a piece of paper with three holes which I thought aha - that could make a great frame so I kept it!  Never waste anything!  I used it as a mask for the square.

I inked the background with Pool Party and Soft Sky.  I used Old Olive for the stems, Fresh Fig for the flowers and the sentiment and Daffodil Delight and More Mustard for the daisies.  The Whisper White was adhered to a piece of Pool Party cardstock.  I was tempted to add Wink of Stella but as this is a more sombre piece I've left it off.

I hope you like my card - all products can be purchased from me via my online shop!  Or why not join my team and benefit from all the perks of being a Stampin' Up! Independent Demonstrator.
