Elsie Challenge - Use 3 embellishments

This was done for the Elsie Challenge of using three embellishments - I used three pictures in the middle, three leaves, three ribbons and three brads. This was of Jonathan and Chris on their first boy's trip out to the Brecon Beacons. You'd think in August they would have had some good weather - but oh no - it was so misty up on the mountains they had to come down. Nothing to do with their fitness levels, you understand!

Elsie Challenge - Use of Arrows

This was the layout I did for the Use of Arrows challenge. I've never used arrows on my layouts before and it was a fun thing to do. These were pictures of Emma at Center Parcs being her usual dare-devil self and climbing high, with no fear. They were just perfect pictures to use together with arrows.

Elsie Challenge

I need to get myself organised before Saturday and complete the Elsie Challenge on Aunty's. I missed last week's due to all sorts of reasons but would love to try and complete this week - which is to use ripped or torn or decorated papers. I do this all the time so it SHOULD be easy!

TWO STEP STAMPING

One of the things I love about Stampin Up stamps is their two-step stamping images. The one stamp offers you the base image, the other stamp is the overlay or adjoining image. It helps to use light ink for the base image and darker ink for the overlying one.

Dominoes

I have done a few of the dominoe swaps on Aunty's but I find them too frustrating. I love receiving them though - and the Queen of Dominoes is Crissi - here is an example of some she sent me

Here's a fab card topper I received from my friend Jo from Aunty's forum - we do regular topper swaps and this one was themed Back To School.

Thanks Jo - I love it!!!!

And, speaking of Christmas, Cherry Pie Art Stamps do a fab Merry Christmas Word Tree Stamp that I can't wait to have a play with.

Dare I add some Christmas Cards yet? I know its a long way off but it soon comes around and, if like me you like doing Christmas cards, you run out of time if you don't do them early!

Here's some I made earlier - LOL!

I first started doing my own cards using Stampin Up Stamps - and they are still some of my favourites. Hopefully, they are branching out into the UK and I will definitely be planning on becoming a demonstrator. In the meantime, here is a card made with Stampin Up stamps.

Cat ATC

Here is an example of Cherry Pie Art Stamps used to do an ATC. This was an animal ATC swap hosted by me on Aunty's Forum. I just love this cat stamp - so different to the usual animal images you can get.

I've started my own forum

I've been inspired by some friends to take the plunge and start my own forum. I didn't even know I could do such a thing with my freewebs website but after having a nose around, there it was. Its a basic forum at the moment because freewebs don't have a lot of extras yet - but hopefully it will be a bit of fun.

So far I have my first member - Crafty Crissi - who is going to enter the competition to win some Cherry Pie Art Stamps - so I think she needs some competition!

You can find the forum on www.ukcustomscrapbooks.com and follow the link to the forum. Come on, grab a coffee, and say hi.

Everyone is doing it

Everybody else seems to be doing it so I thought I'd better join in.

I have been crafting for nearly 5 years and I really got into scrapbooking and card making when I lived in Texas for three years. I have my own scrapbooking business www.ukcustomscrapbooks.com

My favourite stamps are Stampin Up and Cherry Pie Art Stamps. You can buy Cherry Pie Art Stamps from me on my ebay.co.uk store - www.stores.ebay.co.uk/CHERRY-PIE-ART-STAMPS-UK or from my website www.ukcustomscrapbooks.com

My favourite forum on the internet is Aunty's - www.auntysforum.com where you will find great challenges, activities, competitions and fun.
