INSPIRATION STATION - #76

Welcome back to another Inspiration Station - I hope you are inspired by our lovely picture above - please let us know when you enter what inspired you.  I chose the Unicorn and the fact that it was a birthday cake.  My little granddaughter was 6 in June and she is just at that stage where she loves pink and unicorns.

All my stamps were from Lavinia stamps.  As my little girl loves all things pretty I added the little ribbon and the gem - not something I would normally add to my cards.

I'm adding this into the following:

Simon Says Stamp Monday - Happy Birthday
Allsorts - AG Animal
Send a smile 4 kids - birthday card

INSPIRATION STATION #69

Welcome to our first challenge of 2025 with Inspiration Station.  How wonderful is this image ?  I received some wonderful new watercolours by Winsor and Newton for Christmas and just really wanted to try and reproduce the image using them.

I used watercolour paper for my background and mixed a few of the colours to get what I wanted.  I wanted to try a Bokeh technique and used white paint to create the background.  The foliage stamps are by Alison Bomber and the bird is a very old one from Kaisercraft.

I look forward to seeing how you are inspired by our image.

I'm adding this into the following challenges:

Stamping Sensations - Hand Coloured

INSPIRATION STATION #66

Look at this gorgeous image to inspire you this month from Inspiration Station .  Autumn is my favourite time of the year - which is just as well as we seemed to have missed summer this year here in the UK and a lot of the days have felt autumnal.  But once the leaves start turning colour, and the winter stews are on and the fire is lit is when I'm at my happiest.  Sadly my own sunflowers were not very good this year - their main ingredient for life - sun - was sadly lacking so I've had to make do with a stamp instead!

I started off my card with my gel press and adding inks and a stencil to create the leafy background.  I then stamped the lovely sunflower from Tracy Evans set and cut out an extra flower to add on top to create interest and layers with a touch of twine behind the flower.

I've added some extra stamping around the sides from a lovely set I won from Brenda which has great elements in it including a crackle stamp which I love. Its called Botanical Blass by Highlight Crafts - not a company I'm familiar with.

I'm adding this into the following:
Inspire Create - Autumn
Daisy Chain - Autumn
Allsorts - falling leaves - my stencil

INSPIRATION STATION

I love the image for our inspiration this month at Inspiration Station and hope it inspires you too.  My card is a New Home card - it was hopefully going to be for my son and his girlfriend as they try and sell their house but sadly after nearly a year still no sale for them.  But at least the card is ready when finally they do.

I used a lot of ink blending of Tim Holtz Distress Oxides to create the background and added some stamped trees from a Visible Image stamp set.  The little house is a very old stamp from Clearly Besotted that I found in my stash.  I stamped it and the trees  onto acetate also to create the reflection.

INSPIRATION STATION - #64

A great mood board for you to work off this month from Inspiration Station and I look forward to seeing how you are inspired by all that lovely fruit. Searching through my stuff I found I really only had one fruit image I wanted to use and it's this great wonky pear by Tracy Evans.

I created a very delicate background with some distress inks in Twisted Citron with a touch of Dried Marigold.  I added the pear stamp and coloured it in using the same colours.  I added a bit of extra background stamping. The words are from the same set and they were popped up on dimensionals to give a bit of extra dimension.  I added the bird from one of Tracy's other sets and popped him on the leaf.

I do have a pear tree that we planted in our garden two years ago but so far no fruit - although the apple trees I planted at the same time are bearing fruit this year for the first time.  Fingers crossed for the pear tree for next year.

INSPIRATION STATION

Welcome back to another challenge from Inspiration Station.  How will our image inspire you this month?  June is a very busy birthday month in our household so I could readily relate to this image.

I chose to use one of Anita Jeram's lovely stamps and just had to include the one with the lovely balloon. I water coloured the image with some Tim Holtz Distress water color pencils and then used a stitched die cut to cut it out.  I layered it onto some old Stampin Up DSP.

INSPIRATION STATION -

A fabulous collection of what look like wild flowers is our inspiration for you this month at Inspiration Station.

I thought I'd try to create my basket of flowers on some Kraft paper and use some coloured pencils.  This doesn't always work for me so it was a challenge but I was pleased how it actually worked this time.  The trick is a good white pencil and I  bought myself a new one from Faber Castell which seems to have worked a treat.

The flower basket is an old stamp from Stampin Up - I added some stencilling behind for the basket to sit on and the little petals are also a stencil from creative Expressions.  The sentiment and extra leaf petals are from Tracy Evans.

I'm adding this into the following:

Triple B - Blooms, Butterflies
The flower challenge - colour your flowers
Make My Monday - Florals
Outlawz Challenge - Monday - AG

Creativity.....

I was inspired to join in with Inspiration Station today on seeing their image above.  The cat spoke to me as my daughter had to put one of her fur babies down yesterday, an emotional time when you  have to say goodbye to them.

I found a background I had done on my gel press and I liked the colours, just adding a bit more Tim Holtz Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink to bring out the blues.  I used a tree branch stencil from my stash with Black Soot and stamped the cat image from Visible Image Curious Cats over the top.  I added some background stamping also from Visible Image and the sentiment is from their Brighten the World set.  The little bird is from a Tracy Evans stamp set.  I also added some Washi Tape from Tracy Evans.  I found some very old Luminart inks in my stash when sorting out and the green was just perfect for the cat's eyes.  I added a splatter of white paint just to finish it off.

I'm also adding this into the following challenge
