TRY STAMPIN ON TUESDAY - #TSOT514

Here's our sketch for you this week from Try Stampin on Tuesday.  I've used all Wendy Vecchi stamps for my card this week.

I started out with the large script stamp - one of my favourites which is from the Live and Make Art set.   I used the Country Flowers set which has the matching die cuts - it's a two stamp set for the flowers and the leaves. I've used Versafine Clair inks in Warm Breeze for the blue and Verdant for the green.

I made a border with some of the other stamps from the set and used a die cut from my stash to cut out the wavy line.  I added a piece of lace and some gingham ribbon to finish it off.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set. A touch of Dazzling Diamonds on the inside of the flower finishes off the card.

TRY STAMPIN ON TUESDAY TSOT508

Optional theme - Flowers

Welcome to another challenge at Try Stampin on Tuesday with our sketch above with the optional theme of flowers.  I started off by using a stencil from American Crafts for my panel on the right using Tim Holtz Distress Ink. I then used the stamps from Tim Holtz Wild Flowers for my flowers on the left using Distress Inks to watercolour the flowers.  The sentiment in the corner is from a Clearly Besotted set.

TRY STAMPIN ON TUESDAY - #TSOT504

Added Challenge - Nature

Here is our sketch for you this week from Try Stampin on Tuesday with the added challenge of Nature.

I used the lovely image from Chocolate Baroque for my card - the stamp set is called Another Brick in the Walled Garden.  I kept the image as a simple watercolour using Tim Holtz Distress Inks as it's quite a busy image.  I used some retired SU DSP for the papaer behind and a die cut piece of paper for the sides and added it to SU card stock.

The sentiment came from my scrapbooking stash.  I added some Nuovo drops in silver to add a bit of sparkle.

TRY STAMPIN ON TUESDAY - #TSOT486

Our challenge this week at Try Stampin on Tuesday has the optional challenge of sparkle - well, it is nearly Christmas.

I haven't played with this stamp set in a while and decided it needed another outing - those bells are just beyond belief!    The stamp set is Holiday Style by Sunny Studio.

I used my Tim Holtz stamping platform to first stamp the tree branches in Distress Ink Peeled Paint and Forest Moss.  I then stamped out the red baubles first in Distress Ink Barn door and Festive Berries - they are two step stamps with the darker colour giving the shadow.  I fussy cut them out.

The silver bell was stamped in three inks - the first is an old SU one Going Gray, the second ink is a current ink I think from SU called Basic Gray and the final ink is Hero Arts Intense Black which is what gives the bell it's shine - isn't it amazing!

For my banner I inked a piece of the card stock with some Peeled Paint and used a Tim Holtz Christmas tree stencil and used the same ink.  I edged it in Walnut Stain and added the sentiment from the set in Festive Berries.  I inked around the card in Peeled Paint and added some thread lines with a silver pen for the bells to hang from.  I then added a dusting of SU Dazzling Diamonds.

TRY STAMPIN ON TUESDAY - #TSOT474

I've chosen to do a scrapbook layout for my project for this week's Try Stampin on Tuesday challenge - the sketch just seemed to lend itself to a page layout.  We are definitely in an Autumn frame of mind here in the UK and I had this lovely photo of my Welsh Springer Spaniel Tegan.

I started off with an autumn themed piece of 12 x 12 paper which I got as a pack of Autumn themed papers and I have no idea who made it.  The extra pieces of paper are from the same set.  I stamped and cut out leaves from SU Colourful Seasons together with some branches.  I've used the lovely Sunny Studio Mug Hugs stamp again for the mug and cut it out.

The letters are Tim Holtz shadow letters die cuts.

TRY STAMPIN ON TUESDAY - CHRISTMAS IN JULY #tsot468

I'm not sure where the whole concept of Christmas in July came from? Is it because stamp companies start issuing their Christmas/Holiday stamps early and we all join in? I don't mind as I love making Christmas things and making them early takes the pressure off come Christmas time when there is so much more to be doing.

Our sketch this week at Try Stampin On Tuesday has the option of Christmas and I'd love to see your Christmas entries.  I went with the Christmas theme, naturally lol! I love making tags especially Christmas ones so this sketch was just up my street.

I started off with a small tag and covered it in Tim Holtz Collage Medium then added some retired Stampin Up papers which were just torn and laid randomly.  I added some strips at the bottom and the greeting is from Tim Holtz Idealogy Christmas stickers book.  I added some thread and die cut a stag's head from my stash. I used some Distress Inks in Fired Brick for the sheet music and Gathered Twigs for the stag.  I added a touch of Tri Spectrum sparkle to his antlers.

I used a Sizzix Christmas embossing folder for my card stock in a lovely star burst design and added some sparkle to them.  The foliage is die cut out of some old SU paper and a touch of ink added to the edges.

TRY STAMPIN ON TUESDAY #420

Here is our sketch this week at Try Stampin on Tuesday   We are also doubling up with Double Trouble so check out their rules for their challenge and if you combine both you can enter both challenges.  I chose Thing 1 for my card :

THING 1:  Trouble Maker
says, "Help us stir up some trouble with a 3-2-1 Recipe that can be used for any occasion."
From: Our Kitchen at Double Trouble
     Servings: Unlimited portions of Fun
     Ingredients:  3 - Colors
                           2 - Patterned Papers
1 - Sentiment or image (stamped or digital OK)

Directions: You may use more than the recipe ingredients stipulated, but you need to include at least the required minimum of each ingredient for successful results.

I used some of the lovely new papers from SU from the Bird Ballad DSP.  I have seen lots of samples with the paper with the cute birds on it but not so much of the other papers.  I used lots of stitched framelits for the pieces and some grey cardstock for the background.  I used an old scallop punch for the sentiment and some retired SU ribbon.  The sentiment is from another retired set Apple of My Eye.
