HAND STAMPED SENTIMENTS #IC370

A great mood board for you this week at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  I chose to use the butterflies top right for my card.

I used a new stamp set for me from Creative Expressions called Butterfly Splash - a great set with 9 butterfly stamps on it, some greenery and two great ink splodge stamps lol!  I started off the card by using the greenery stamp at the bottom, the lavender stalks are from Tim Holtz wildflowers stamp set.  I stamped the butterflies in Versafine Clair inks.  I then used various pastels from the new Stampin Up pastel set to cover the whole image.  I went over the pastels with Tim Holtz Distress Glaze.  The colours seem to show up better in real life - whereas here they look a bit muted.

The happy birthday stamp and matching die cut is from a Clearly Besotted stamp.

I'm adding this into the following challenges:

Path of Positivity - Enjoy Nature
Stamping Sensations - Celebration

TRY STAMPIN ON TUESDAY TSOT508

Optional theme - Flowers

Welcome to another challenge at Try Stampin on Tuesday with our sketch above with the optional theme of flowers.  I started off by using a stencil from American Crafts for my panel on the right using Tim Holtz Distress Ink. I then used the stamps from Tim Holtz Wild Flowers for my flowers on the left using Distress Inks to watercolour the flowers.  The sentiment in the corner is from a Clearly Besotted set.

TIM HOLTZ WILDFLOWERS

In my small stash of new craft goodies over Christmas were some of the wildflower thinlets by Tim Holtz and I fancied having a play with them.  I was inspired by the sketch over at Sunday Stamps #SSC222  this week and decided to play along.

I started off with a circle cut out with a stitched framelit and I sponged this up wit Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Shabby Shutters.  I used a script stamp from the SU retired set Background Bits stamped in Tim Holtz Crushed Olive.  I then cut out the wildflower thinlets in various coloured card stock and used some Tri Spectrum sparkle to give them a bit of a shine.  I then started on my background using a circle stencil and Tim Holtz Ripe Persimmon and Mustard Seed Distress Inks blending the two into the middle.  I used the cut out from the thinlet to create a stencil of the flowers and inked that in the Crushed Olive.  For my banners I used some retired Washi tape.  I added some ribbon to the bottom and some Copper Thread for the bow at the top.
