Hand Stamped Sentiments #440

Time for another challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments and I hope you enjoy using our sketch.  I wanted to use some lovely new stamps I purchased from Alison Bomber from Paper Artsy.  I love her natural style and as she loves words as well as pictures and William Shakespeare her stamps always have a bit of both.

These images are from a set called Violets Edition. I created my own background papers by using Alisons Stamps.  I used Tim Holtz Watercolour pencils to colour them in - they are my new addiction for water colouring and I find them so lovely to use.  I did a flip fold card with the circle adding the two bits together.

HAND STAMPED SENTIMENTS #439

Such soft pretty colours for our challenge this week at  Hand Stamped Sentiments. I recently received  some new stamps for my birthday and I chose a few sets from Alison Bomber at Paper Artsy.  This set is her Fodder Berry Edition with a gorgeous selection of berries and I thought they would suit our colours. The colours in the card are closer to the colours above - they've just seem to have gone even paler with my phone taking the picture.

The background was created with the gel press and then I stamped the berries stamp on the ink before removing it with the paper - you can just see a very fine white image of the berries behind.  I coloured the berries in and added some extra stamping together with a tag and the sentiment. The extra sentiment is from one of Tracy Evans stamp sets.

HAND STAMPED SENTIMENTS #438

Welcome back to another Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge and our mood board.  Apologies for the gremlins we had on the site last two weeks where it closed the link.  I hope you all managed to add your projects.

I took my inspiration from the bird and the colours and I wanted to try and replicate the soft imagery behind the bird. I used a gel press in soft greens and pinks to create the background and added a leaf stencil.

I used a couple of old stamps from Kaisercraft which hadn't had an inking in a while.  The bird and butterfly is from Anthology and the background branches and birds are from 13th hour.  I stamped the bird and fussy cut it out and added some tw3ine behind it and some hand drawn musical notes.  The sentiment is from Tracy Evans.

HAND STAMPED SENTIMENTS CC436

Welcome back to another colour challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  Such pretty spring colours I look forward to seeing what you create with them.

I started my card by using my brayer to layer the three inks on the left hand side of the card with some added pink on the right.  I then used some of Tracy Evans' new boutique stamps called Malva for the background and the cut out flower.  I used some old Stampin Up stamps and dies for the branches from A Jar of Love.  The sentiment is from the same set.  I added a few embellishments to finish off the card.

I'm adding this into the following challenges:

Try it on Tuesday - Song Title - Hello by Lionel Richie - I used to listen to him all the time when I was younger and haven't heard him in such a long time.

HAND STAMPED SENTIMENTS COLOUR CHALLENGE #433

Lovely spring colours at our challenge #433 at Hand Stamped Sentiments.    I used all three colours for my background.  I then used an Aallandcreate stencil with some texture paste to add extra interest to the background.  The flower is from Tim Holtz and I stamped and coloured it then cut it out.  The background flowers are Tim Holtz collage tissue. I added sentiments to make this a birthday card as I need a few in my stash over the coming  months.

HAND STAMPED SENTIMENTS SC431

I loved playing with our sketch this month from Hand Stamped Sentiments.  So many possibilities!

I started out by using a Creative Expressions Stencil for my background with Old Paper Distress Oxide Ink.  I then used three strips of washi tape in spring colours.  I wanted to use the flowers from Tracy Evans set Elegant Spring Florals for my shapes.  I fussy cut them out and coloured them in with Tim Holtz Watercolour Pencils in spring colours.

I added some string behind them and used some pinflair glue to attach them to the card.   I then used the word Spring from the Seasons stamp set by Tracy Evans.  I added a few water droplet embellishments to finish off the card.

HAND STAMPED SENTIMENTS #CC430

I loved the choice of colours we had for this week's challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments - I actually had two of them which is always a plus for me.  I used Bermuda Bay for the Pretty Peacock.

I used a Creative Expressions stamp for my project.  I inked the stamp with all three of the colours.  I then picked out the butterfly and the bird in the Berry Burst and the Bermuda Bay and fussy cut them out and added some Glossy Accents to give them more definition.  The Hello sentiment is a die cut from my stash.

I then used an old Stampin Up Stencil for the dots around the outside of the image, which had been torn and inked on the edges with Tim Holtz Walnut Stain.

I'm adding this into the following challenges:

HAND STAMPED SENTIMENTS IC429

Happy New Year and welcome back to another year's challenges here at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  We love having you with us on this creative journey.  We start the year with an Inspiration Mood Board for you.

I had a background I had created using a gel press and some Tim Holtz Distress Pain in Iced Spruce and Evergreen Bough.  I felt it worked perfectly for the background I wanted to create for my bird.  All the stamps used are by Tracy Evans - including the text stamps in the background.  I added some Glossy Accents to the little circle and how fortuitous were the numbers on this bird.  They already said 24 so all I needed to do was add a January tag and it is just perfect for my first card of 2024.

HAND STAMPED SENTIMENTS - CC424

Welcome back to another colour challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  As you know I find these a bit trickier even as a DT member as I am not with Stampin Up so I try to use as close as I can.  For this card I did have Blackberry Bliss, and I used Cameo Coral, Bermuda Bay and Tim Holtz Frayed Burlap for my other colours.

I started by using a very old dotty stamp for the background using all the colours to create it.  The leaf is a Visible Image stencil called Autumn Leaves and I stencilled it in the Frayed Burlap and then cut it out.  The acorns are also from Visible Image stamps called Nuts About Squirrels and I stamped them in the Blackberry Bliss.

The sentiment is from a Tracy Evans set called Fallen Leaves and I stamped it in Blackberry Bliss and then added it to some coral type card stock I found in my bits drawer.

HAND STAMPED SENTIMENTS #420

Welcome back to another challenge for Hand Stamped Sentiments.  The weather here in the UK for nearly the whole of July was wet and miserable.  We even had to light a log fire the other evening - so Ice creams and the gorgeous images on our mood board are very far from my mind at the moment - but I can dream of Summer.

Probably with that in mind I took my inspiration from the flowers on the bottom right.  I used an old leaf stencil for my background - giving it just a kiss of the ink, spritzing it and then adding it to the paper to give a very subtle imprint of the leaf.  I masked off part of the middle to add my mouse and my sentiment.  I used an old SU set Botanical Prints to create my flowers.  The little mouse is from Clearly Besotted. I added some background word stamping and some sequins to finish off the card.

HAND STAMPED SENTIMENTS CC415

We have a lovely soft colour palette for you this week at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  My card uses a new stamp by Francoise Read for Woodware Craft Collection called Three Butterflies.  I used three of the colours for the butterflies and kept the Petal Pink for a soft water coloured background.  I added the sentiment from a set from Colorado Craft Company called Olive Branch and popped it on dimensionals and added a co-ordinating bead to finish it off.

HAND STAMPED SENTIMENTS - IC414

I hope you are inspired by our beautiful mood board this week at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  I was drawn to those lovely pink flowers which look like Gerberas to me and I had those at my wedding some ahem 38 years ago lol!

I started my card by using a stencil I found in my stash which I've never even inked up before.  Over on my Facebook Group the challenge this month is to use something from your stash that has never seen the light of day and then I found this.  It is from Creative Expressions.  I used Tim Holtz Peacock Feathers in Distress Oxide to create the background.

The stamp is from Visible Image and is called Break Free.  I stamped it on to some card and then cut it out.  I coloured it with Distress Oxides and added some Tim Holtz Distress Icicle paste to make the glass shine.  I also stamped the flower on to a separate piece and cut it out and layered it to give it a bit of dimension.  One of the sentiments is from the set the other is from a Tracy Evans stamp set. I added some glass beads to add to the sparkle.

We are desperate here in the UK to get some warm sunny weather so I really wish summer would Break Free!

HAND STAMPED SENTIMENTS #412 COLOUR CHALLENGE

Another colour challenge for you this week from Hand Stamped Sentiments.  These are some of my favourite SU colours and I have them all which doesn't often happen for me lol!

It's been a while since I used this beautiful stamp set from Colorado Craft Company called Olive Branch of these gorgeous olives and I thought the colours would work.  I was really happy how they turned out. Most of the olives are flat to the page apart from the bottom cluster which is layered just to give a bit more interest.  I added some sequins and some old SU embellishments to finish off the card.  The sentiment is from the same set and I used Cosmic Shimmer White embossing powder.

HAND STAMPED SENTIMENTS SC409

We have another sketch for you today at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  I started my card by making a background with some Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink and using a Tim Holtz stencil to go over it.    The little bird is from Aallandcreate stamps - I just love the way it is perched on the pot.  I coloured it in with Distress Oxide ink.  The strip below has been made with a Tim Holtz Emboss and Cut embosser.  Very clever as it cuts as it embosses.  I added a few Nuovo drops to add some interest and as this was for a friend's birthday I added the sentiment.

HAND STAMPED SENTIMENTS CC#408

We have a lovely choice of spring colours for you for our Colour Challenge this week at Hand Stamped Sentiments.  I have all of these Stampin Up Colours with the Flirty Flamingo being a marker pen.

I decided to use three retired SU sets for this card - Choose Happiness which gave the sentiment and that lovely leaf, Bliss which gave the lovely bird and the little flower and Lots of Lavender which gave the background petals.

HAND STAMPED SENTIMENTS # IC406

We are all about the hearts at Hand Stamped Sentiments for this challenge.  My eye was drawn to that wonderful black cat  - being a bit of a cat lady.  I rummaged among my supplies as I knew I had a wonderful cat stamp I hadn't used in years made by Cherry Pie Art Stamps.  Yep there it was - keep a thing for 20 years and it comes in useful!

I started by stamping the cat stamp and added the border around it.  I used Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink in Spun Sugar and then added some hearts and a stencil in Picked Raspberry.  I added a touch of script with some stamped off black ink.  The love hearts are from a very old Stampin Up set called Sweet Talk from 2004!  Very nearly 20 years old.  I stamped them and used a heart die to cut them out.  I added a touch of Nuovo Drops at the top and bottom.  The little added sentiment is from Tim Holtz Ideaology - hubby will be getting this Valentine's.

I'm adding this into the following:

Crafty Animals - AG Animals
SUYPG - AG
Colour Hues - pink and red
