My ornament dies are from Tim Holtz and are a set of three ornaments with various dies for decorating them. I started off with white card stock then cut out the ornaments and sponged them in pale blue, pale pink and pale green. I added some silver paper and glitter paper for the various decoreations. I added some silver thread to let them hang. I then added lots of rhine stones on the paper and on the ornaments.

SPARKLES CHRISTMAS CHALLENGE - WINTER WONDERLAND - DECEMBER #107
Our final challenge for this year at Sparkles Christmas Challenge is Winter Wonderland. I have loved being part of this Design Team and it's great to have at least twelve cards already made for Christmas.
I decided to use an old stamp set I found in my stash - I can't remember where I got it from but it has a snow globe, two sentiments and three images to go inside the globe. I chose to use the deer. I first embossed the snow globe with silver embossing powder. I then stamped the image inside and coloured it with some Derwent Metallic Pencils. I used Tim Holtz Chipped Sapphire for the sky. I added some extra snow with a white gel pen. The deer have been covered in Glossy Accents to give that glass shimmer. The sentiment is from another winter set I have. I popped it up on dimensionals and added some silver ribbon. I then added it all onto a piece of white card stock which had been embossed with a snow flake design. I added some Spectrum Noir glitter pen to the inside of the globe and to some of the snowflakes.
It just remains for me to wish you all a very Merry Christmas! Thank you for playing along with us this year - I hope you've enjoyed making Christmas cards all year round as I have.

SPARKLES CHRISTMAS CHALLENGE - ADD A TREE
Another new month which means another Christmas card for Sparkles Christmas Challenge - the challenge this month is to add a tree.
I've used a set from Stampin Up which is think is actually still current - it's called Winter Woods.
I started off by masking the top and bottom and sides of some white card stock. I then used some Tim Holtz inks for the background - including Chipped Sapphire, Aged Mahogany, Fossilized Amber and Black Soot. I also masked off a moon. The tree was simply stamped in Memento Tuxedo black ink. I added some glue with a glue pen and covered the card in Dazzling Diamonds. I added a strip of some lovely glitter white ribbon and two sparkly glitter dots. The sentiment is from a Gina K Designs set called Season of Joy.
I'm looking forward to seeing all your Christmas cards in July!

SPARKLES CHRISTMAS CHALLENGE - #101 REINDEER
It was my choice this month for our theme for June's challenge over at Sparkles Christmas Challenge and I chose Reindeer. I do love cards with Reindeer on them so it was my obvious choice.
The stamp set I've used is an old Hero Arts once called Winter Wonderland. I started off by stamping the trees in Versamark and using some Silver Embossing powder on them. I actually stamped them on to the same Designer Series Paper as the background - which is an old SU one - I loved the soft blues and the little stars. I then stamped the reindeer in Early Espresso by SU. I used some stitched framelits to cut out both the stamped image and the circle behind in some silver paper. The background paper has also been silver embossed using some stars from SU I think. The sentiment is from the same set and I've just added some ribbons in blue and silver and white.
I look forward to seeing all your lovely Reindeer cards.

SPARKLES CHRISTMAS CHALLENGE - HOLLY
Another new month another new Christmas Challenge over at Sparkles Christmas Challenge blog - this month we are featuring Holly.
I used an old SU embossing folder for my holly on my card. I do love holly at Christmas and always bring sprigs of it into the house to Deck the Halls. Here I added this very old Santa Stamp - he's just such an old favourite and the rubber is getting very old - I hope he will continue to keep stamping. I added a stamp from Cherry Pie Art Stamps for the old print writing and added a Believe stamp. Lots of sparkle and glitter on the stars near Santa's beard gives the card a bit of shine.

SPARKLES CHRISTMAS CHALLENGE - FEATURE A CREATURE
Our Challenge over at Sparkles Christmas Challenge this month is feature a creature. I love robins at any time of year - they are my favourite bird and I always have a number of families living in my garden. Sad that they really only live a few years and they are very territorial.
My card today uses a bird stamp I had in my stash I'm not sure where I got it from - the background branches are from SU's Colourful Seasons. I sponged the background paper, tore the edges and added snow with a white gel pen.
Thanks for stopping by - why not come along to the challenge and join in - a great way to add extra Christmas cards through the year.

SPARKLES CHRISTMAS CHALLENGE - POINSETTIA
This proved a tricky challenge for me this month at Sparkles Christmas Challenge as I actually found I don't have any stamps with a poinsettia on it. Hunting through all my stamps I came across an old Stampin Up set Season of Joy which thankfully had one in it. Saved!
I've used an old SU embossing folder with holly on it for the background in white. The poinsettia was inked and fussy cut out twice and layered on top of each other - with some added yellow enamel dots to represent the stamens. I added some extra holly leaves behind them and used the stitched framelits for the sentiment which comes from the same set. A little heart and some Spectrum Noir glitter pen gives the card some sparkle!
I think it might be an idea for next year to hunt out a different type of poinsettia flower to play with. I look forward to seeing all your entries and I may get some inspiration of what stamp to get.

HO HO HO
I'm an old traditionalist at heart and like nothing better at Christmas than red. It's actually one of my favourite colours anyway, that and green and I have a lot of red in my house. The challenge over at As You See It is red but with a twist - a card done in less than 10 minutes.
Even though my card has heat embossing and cold embossing I still managed to get it done under the 10 minutes.
This Santa Collage stamp is one of my all time favourite stamps at this time of the year. He's been embossed with red embossing powder. The holly embossing folder is an retired SU one. The sentiment is from Inkadinkado and is also an old stamp.
Sparkles Christmas Card Challenge #95 is also asking for embossing.

SOMETHING OLD - SOMETHING NEW
My card today mixed something old with something new. My favourite all time Christmas stamp is this lovely old image of Santa called Santa Collage from Rubber Stampede - I've had it for over 15 years and I'm always looking for new ways of adding him to a Christmas card.
I've combined it here with some of the new papers from Kaisercraft Wonderland set. I love the colours in these papers - which is unusual for me as I'm normally a traditional red/green girl but the blues are lovely. I've used some SU Crumb Cake for the base and for the Santa. He was stamped with Versamark and I used some silver embossing powder. Rounded the edges and added some Crumb Cake ink to the card and the base to distress it a little.
The papers are from Kaisercraft and I just adore those little reindeers! I aded a Die Cut of a reindeer in silver paper and tucked it beneath the Santa. The snowflakes inked in Crumb Cake are from SU Colourful Seasons. The sentiment is from the Kaisercraft Wonderland pack.
I love how this card turned out. I'm going to add it to the following Challenges
Watercooler Wednesday - Holidays
Cards In Envy - Favourite Holiday Card
Sparkles Christmas Challenge - For the kid in all of us!
