I am loving being on the Design Team for Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge blog - and what a fabulous inspirational photo we have for you today for our Inspirational Challenge #IC288
I chose to go with the robin - one of my favourite birds, and not only around at Christmas time but all year round. I have three very territorial robins in my garden - always flitting in and out of the apple trees.
I've used two sets here for my card - one is an old SU set Touch of Nature - the bird was stamped and then fussy cut out and the background is made from the leaf stamp from this set. The rest came from Colourful Seasons and the matching Seasonal Layers Thinlets. A touch of Copper Metallic Thread is added to the side of the card. The colours I've used are Melon Mambo, Pear Pizazz and an old SU colour Pretty in Pink.
I've been busy making
lots of little boxes lately using the Merry Little Labels set and the matching punch. #christmaspunch.
The boxes are very simple to make and I've done a quick tutorial to show you how easy they are. They can be left open at the top or closed as in the Christmas example below.
This example uses Crumb Cake as the base and stamped with leaves from Colourful Season and Jar of Love. The jar was cut out of the front using the Jar of Love Framelits and then stamped over it with the jar image. The lid was added on an embellishment. Clear Acetate has been put behind the jar and then you can fill it with all sorts of goodies - I've added some of our Sequin Assortment. The leaf has been made with the Seasonal Layers Thinlets. The tag has used the cut out of the jar and I've stamped one of the sentiments from Merry Little Labels on it and added some Linen Thread to the top.
This is a slightly different example using Old Olive as the cardstock. The leaf has been cut into the front. I've used the same leaves from Colourful Seasons to stamp on the cardstock with Versamark. A brad attached the label which has been punched out with the new matching punch - #christmaspunch.
This is a Christmas version using Night of Navy and Silver Embossing Powder. I've used the snowflakes from Colourful Seasons and a touch of Metallic Edge Ribbon in silver. The Let It Snow is a perfect accompaniment and looks so lovely embossed in silver.
I'm adding my boxes into the following challenges:
SU Only challenge - which is asking us to use our favourite punches or dies
It's Christmas in July again at Watercooler Wednesday with Kath's Non-Traditional Christmas Colors Challenge.
I've chosen to use the beautiful snowflakes from the Colourful Seasons set and the matching Seasonal Layers thinlets. This is a change of colours for me as I must admit I'm normally and green and red kind of girl for Christmas. Here I've used three blues, Night of Navy, Pool Party and Soft Sky with a smattering of our new Glitter Enamel Dots. The greeting is from the retired set Santa's Message.

Another Sneak Peek of the new set Colourful Seasons. Such a wonderful versatile set and so far I've only used the chairs. It has a wealth of other possibilities. The Challenge over at Global Design Project this week is a sketch challenge.
One of my favourite of the In-colours has to be Lemon Lime twist - and I'm not even a lime sort of girl - but against the black it looks stunning. I've used Black base cardstock here then a layer of Lemon Lime twist cardstock.
I've been getting the inks out again and inked up my Whisper White using Soft Sky, Pacific Point a touch of the new Powder Pink for the sky. The grass was done using Lemon Lime Twist. The chair comes from the matching Seasonal Layers Thinlets for this set which comes as a Suite.
I cut out the chair and used it as the mask for the image, gently inking over the top. I added a few of the lovely Glitter Enamel dots which are so pretty when you see them in real life.
I have done a You Tube tutorial for you if you would like to have a go.
As usual all products can be purchased direct from my store.
