CHRISTMAS CRAFT CREATIONS

We hope you are still joining in with our theme of Christmas Decorations - such a busy time of the year but being able to sneak away for a bit of crafting can help keep you calm.  I'm joining in again with my die cut decorations from Creative Expressions. The sparkles in the paper was made by Tim Holtz Festive Micro Sprays.

CHRISTMAS CRAFT CREATIONS - MONOCHROMATIC

Our theme this month at Christmas Craft Creations is monochromatic. I've chosen to use the newly released Christmas Tree Dies by Sue Wilson for Creative Expressions.  These are called the Snowflake Tree-O.  I used some Tim Holtz Distress Mica Stain in Winter Frost to cover my paper then cut out the trees and the matching stars.  The dies come in three sizes so I layered the different sizes using some layering dots to add extra depth.

There are some fabulous prizes to be won so don't forget to add our logo to be in with a chance of winning a prize.  Good luck.

CHRISTMAS CRAFT CREATIONS - METALLICS

Welcome back to another challenge from Christmas Craft Creations - if you've been with us since January this year you must have a great collection of Christmas cards ready in your stash.  Our challenge this month is Metallics. I don't have a lot of metallics in my stash but I do have Tim Holtz Metallic Distress Crayons so they were my go to for this card.

I used an old Christmas embossing folder and then covered it in the Brushed Pewter Distress Crayon.  The stamp and sentiment is from Tim Holtz Watercolour Trees. I stamped it in two lots of grey ink and added the bright red baubles and some Spectrum Noir sparkle. The sentiment was embossed with silver embossing powder.  I'd been looking for an O Christmas Tree stamp for years and when I saw it on this set I had to have the whole set lol! I added some silver thread from my stash behind the tree and layered it onto some red cardstock.

Remember to add our graphic above to your post to be in with a chance to win some goodies this month.  This month I am offering this lovely stamp set from Bipasha BK  for Aallandcreate.

Christmas Craft Creations Heat Embossing

A great theme this month at Christmas Craft Creations with Heat Embossing.  I chose to use a lovely stamp from Visible Images for the background words.

My choice of red hot colours was inspired by the challenge over at Inspiration Station.  I used Tim Holtz Crackling Campfire to emboss it.  Before I embossed I used a stencil for the background with the same coloured ink by Tim Holtz.

I then added one of Tim Holtz's snowflake dies and used the same colour embossing powder and added some glitter.  I used white embossing powder from the sentiment from Tim Holtz.

CHRISTMAS CRAFT CREATIONS - ONE LAYER

Our challenge this month at Christmas Craft Creations is one layer.  Wow this was a real challenge for me as I am loving all my collage and mixed media at the moment.  I really wanted to use the Tim Holtz Christmas Tree stamp set called Watercolour Trees.

I've been looking for a nice O Christmas Tree stamp sentiment and found it on this set so decided to use it here.  I stamped one of the trees first then masked it off and added the sentiment over it -first generation stamping at the top and bottom and then stamped off for over the actual tree.

I added two Distress Inks to stamp the tree and added some Nuovo Drops to look like fairy lights.  I really had to walk away from this to stop adding anything else and keep it one layer.

CHRISTMAS CRAFT CREATIONS - IN THE PINK

Our challenge this month at Christmas Craft Creations is Pink.  I must admit this isn't a colour I think of when doing Christmas cards so it was a great challenge for me also.  I am sponsoring our challenge this month with a new stamp set from Bipasha BK for Aallandcreate of this lovely bird stamp called The Old Vase.

I started off my card by masking the shape in the middle using some masking tape.  I used Distress Oxide ink in Spun Sugar for my pink middle.  I added some white dots with a posca pen and some touches of glitter from a Spectrum Noir pen in Sparkle.  I added a piece of card stock across in pink which was stamped with snowflakes and cut out and added the word Believe.  Some sprinkles and some glitter snowflakes finished off my card all layered on to some pink cardstock from Stampin Up.
