I started off my card using an stamp from a retired SU set called Fresh Vintage - this is a wooden set. I'm surprised how quickly I got used to working with cling stamps, photopolymer stamps and blocks - I really thought I would stick with the wood -but now sadly my old wooden blocks rarely get used. I also used Timeless Textures as part of the background and I tried to use the same colours as the Die Cut Swirls. These were a RAK so I wasn't exactly sure of the colours but I went with Pear Pizazz, Night of Navy and Bermuda Bay. I added some retired SU satin ribbon behind the swirls and the sentiment is from another retired set Cottage Greetings. I'm all about the old lol!

SUO CHALLENGE - SKETCH #SUOC221
We have a sketch for you today at SUO Challenge #SUOC221 and this one was designed by me. I hope you can have fun with it.

JAR OF LOVE - BOUQUET OF FLOWERS
There is a Facebook Challenge group which I join in with sometimes -Colour Inkspiration run by Bronwyn Eastly. #CI51 - Their challenge this week was an image for our inspiration.
I chose to use Jar of Love and its matching framelits for my card. The embossing folder is from Kaisercraft and is called Tiny Floral. I used the colours as per the image above and built up the bouquet from all the parts. I added a touch of the beautiful SU Polka Dot Tulle ribbon to represent the lace of the bride's dress. The sentiment is from a retired SU set called Cottage Greetings.

This group chooses its winners slightly differently - it chooses a top 5 and then adds a poll for its members to choose the winning card. I was delighted that my card won.

JAR OF LOVE
Global Design Project #GDP178 has a sketch this week - I quite fancied doing some layering with die cuts for this one and the only real set I have is Jar of Love so that's what I used. It needed some love anyway as it hasn't been used for a while.

My colours were inspired by a card I had seen on Pinterest using greys and I don't really usually use grey much so I thought I would challenge myself.
I used a stitched circle framelit for the grey circle and cut out a heart out of the middle. The tiny heart is made with the new foils as are some of the flowers. Some of the leaves I used the framelits to cut out - the others were fussy cut. I used an old SU colour Regal Rose and Berry Burst for the inks. A touch of Timeless Textures in old SU Going Gray added the dots in the background and the sentiment, which is from Cottage Greetings. I added some liquid pearls and some Wink of Stella.
I'm also adding this into the Watercooler Wednesday challenge - WWC210 - All About Occasions
