Our challenge this week at Watercooler Wednesday is Anything Goes. Well if you are anything like me this is the hardest challenge as there is so much to choose from - where do you begin?
I actually chose to use the Coffee Cafe stamp set for my card - this has been a difficult week for me home wise and also my heart is breaking for my old neighbourhood of Sienna Plantation in Houston, Texas where I was fortunate to live for nearly 3 years. They have been devastated by Hurricane Harvey and, having lived through Hurricane Rita back in 2005 which was no where near as serious, I know how scary Hurricanes can be.
I really like the Designer Series Paper in this series which is known as Coffee Break - the colours are so pretty and work well with earthy colours which are my sort of colours. The Coffee Cup Framelits make it easy to punch out the coffee cups and also some of the little cups out of the DSP. I've added a touch of some of our new Sheer Ribbon in Old Olive along the side and the cute little Corrugated Elements just finish this off.

My card for the hop is a take on the Squashed Card I did the other day - this one though is an 8" x 8" and I've done it as a birthday card.
I've used the Watercolor Wings stamp set and some of the sentiments from Pretty Kitty. The Designer Series Papers have come from Delightful Daisy and Coffee Break - my two favourite papers in the new catalogue. The cardstock for the card is Tangerine Tango which was a 12" x 12" sheet of cardstock.
I kept the larger butterfly simple using the framelits to cut out the image out of Wisteria Wonder and then simply stamped all three stamps in Elegant Eggplant. You have to forgive my ink for looking slightly faded but my ink stamp is from 2007 and has NOT been re-inked - how's that for value for money! Some Wink of Stella on the butterfly and basic rhinestones add some sparkle on the outside, and Dazzling Diamonds add some sparkle to the butterflies on the inside. The gorgeous ribbon is also new - and is Stitched Edge ribbon in Rich Razzleberry. I hope you pop along to everyone else in the hop and see what they have come up with.

Another YouTube tutorial for you today - I loved this Coffee Cafe Suite when I first saw it - I do love coffee but it has to be dark and strong. No milk, no sugar. I also like coffee chocolate but that's harder to find. These little gift bags would be great for giving with chocolates in or sample coffees.
They are very simple to do and naturally you can use the basics of the bag for any combination of Designer Series Papers you may have.
You need a piece of Designer Series Paper 12" x 6". Score on the 6" side at 2". On the 12" side score at 1", 3 3/4", 6.5" and 9 1/4". Fold and burnish your score lines. Cut the bags as shown on the tutorial, glue and decorate as you would like.

Anyone want to join me in a cup of coffee? When I first saw the new catalogue this was the set that jumped out at me first - I just love it. I do love coffee - it has to be strong, dark, black, no sugar! I couldn't wait to get my hands on this whole suite. I even treated myself to two new inks that I didn't have - Soft Suede and Crumb Cake. The challenge over at Global Design Project#092 this week is CASE the designer. Whilst I do have Jar of Love I decided I wanted to CASE the arrangement of this card and use the Coffee Cafe. This is a set of 16 Stamps and Coffee Cup matching framelits which you can buy as a bundle.
There is lots of sponging on the coffee cups. I'm not sure if you can see the little banner but it is one of the framelits and it cuts it out as if it is the corrugated paper round the cups to stop you burning your fingers. Inspired! The little hearT comes from the Corrugated Elements that is part of this set. I've added a touch of Linen Thread and popped them all up on dimensionals. I have also used some Burlap Ribbon and the Coffee Break Designer Series Papers. I love this Suite and I think it will go down really well in the coffee shops when I run my Coffee and Card classes.
