ADDICTED TO STAMPS AND MORE - #507 CHRISTMAS

Welcome back to another challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More Christmas challenge.  I was lucky enough to win a Polkadoodles challenge a few weeks ago and won a voucher.  I spotted this gorgeous stamp and just had to have it!  One of our favourite Christmas songs is Fairytale in New York and this just brought that song to mind. The stamp is called Tails of New York and is by Polkadoodles.

I started off my card by using a stencil from Sizzix called Cosmopolitan The View #2.  It was just perfect for the little dogs.  I stamped the dog stamp and used Tim Holtz Watercolour Pencils to colour them all in. I'm not a great one for batch making as I get bored easily but I could see me doing this next year more than once.

BOTANIQUE

I'm playing along with the sketch challenge at Sunday Stamps which is below.

I used a stamp from Sam Poole for Creative Expressions called Botanical Collage.  I kept the colouring simple with some water colouring with Tim Holtz Watercolour Pencils and a touch of shimmer on the butterfly from Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen.  I added some butterfly washi tape behind and on the little circle behind the smaller butterfly.  I stamped the background with Tim Holtz Weathered Wood in a similar stamp to the grid stamp on the Botanical stamp.

HAND STAMPED SENTIMENTS #422

We have another Sketch Challenge for you this week at Hand Stamped Sentiments.

I' ve used two sets from Sam Poole for Creative Expressions.  The background is from a set called Timeless Roses and I've used the numbers strip for my cross pieces.  I then used a set called Butterfly Walk to create the panel down the middle. I added the colours using Tim Holtz Distress Watercolour Pencils - a new addition which I'm having fun playing with.

I'm adding this into the following challenges:
