ADDICTED TO STAMPS AND MORE #500 - DIE CUTS/STENCILS

Welcome back to another challenge from Addicted to Stamps and More and we are back with our diecuts and/or stencils challenge.  Those regulars to my blog know I love my grungy colours but I am trying very hard to use some softer summery colours which is how this card came about.

I started off by using the vase stencil by Tracy Evans SS4 using Tim Holtz Bundled Sage Distress Oxide ink.  I then used a stamp by Alison Bomber from one of her sets to create the mottled effect on the vase using some Versafine ink.

The flower stamps and the sentiments and butterfly are all from a set by Indigo Blu and were gifted to me by a friend.   I really like that quote and thought it went well with the soft colours.  I added extra inks and background stamping with some Oxides after I had done all the stamping.

I'm adding this into the folllowing:

Just us Girls - Stencil
Time Out - Support
The Sisterhood of Crafters - Card of Encouragement

ADDICTED TO STAMPS AND MORE - CHALLENGE #496 - MAKE YOUR MARK

It's time to Make Your Mark at ATSM this week - and by that we mean get out those pencils, pens, inks - anything you would use to colour in.

I received some stamps by Indigoblu from a friend which I think were part of their latest magazine.  It's not a magazine I've ever seen in a shop near me so I didn't even know they did such things.  But this set has a fabulous assortment of stamps and words.

I used the sunflower stamp, the dragon fly and the hearts and extra background stamps and decided to just colour in the sunflowers and the dragonfly and leave the rest as black and white.  I used some new, to me, Prismacolour pencils called Botanical Garden Set.  I love the vibrant colours they give - much more vibrant in real life than the picture is showing.

ADDICTED TO STAMPS AND MORE - ANY OCCASION #489

It's time for those Any Occasion cards this week at Addicted to Stamps & More.  I chose to go with a Thank You card because you never know when you might need one.

I started my card with an embossing folder from Tim Holtz - I thought it looked like  mice tails.  The image is from Anita Jeram from her set Thank You.  I stamped the image first then inked round it with Distress Oxide in Dusty Concord and a touch of Iced Spruce and then added some water splashes.  I added some pen squiggles to the paper to look like he'd written something.

ADDICTED TO STAMPS AND MORE - BIRTHDAYS #488

Welcome back to another challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More and this time we are back on Birthdays.

March is a very  busy month in our household with no less than four birthdays for my daughter, son, son in law, and husband just sneaks in on 1st April but still four major birthdays in a two week period!

This was the card I did for my daughter this year - I love using these stencils by Lavinia Stamps and creating a little scene inside.  All inks are Tim Holtz.  I did add a few drops of Nuovo along the edge of the bottle too.

I'm adding this into the following -
Addicted to CAS - stencil - not sure if this is CAS enough though
Allsorts - Feminine
Heart's Quest - Fantasy
Creative Moments - for a special lady - this was for my daughter
Creative Knockouts - Birthday Wishes

ADDICTED TO STAMPS AND MORE - #507 CHRISTMAS

Welcome back to another challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More Christmas challenge.  I was lucky enough to win a Polkadoodles challenge a few weeks ago and won a voucher.  I spotted this gorgeous stamp and just had to have it!  One of our favourite Christmas songs is Fairytale in New York and this just brought that song to mind. The stamp is called Tails of New York and is by Polkadoodles.

I started off my card by using a stencil from Sizzix called Cosmopolitan The View #2.  It was just perfect for the little dogs.  I stamped the dog stamp and used Tim Holtz Watercolour Pencils to colour them all in. I'm not a great one for batch making as I get bored easily but I could see me doing this next year more than once.

ADDICTED TO STAMPS - #480 DIE CUTS/STENCILS

Welcome back to another challenge at ATSM  and we are asking you to use your die cuts or stencils.  I must admit I don't use a lot of die cuts - I do have some Tim Holtz which get used especially at Christmas but generally I don't use them a lot.  So with that in mind - I've used a stencil lol!  This is one of the Sticker Stencils from Lavinia stamps. I love them - so easy to use and so far mine still have their sticky qualities - and you get the positive and the negative image so that's two in one.

This one is just one of the plain ones that I've used to create a snowglobe/jar.  The little Christmas tree being decorated by the fairies is also by Lavinia stamps as is the saying which is Merry Christmas in Welsh.

ADDICTED TO STAMPS AND MORE - #477 CHRISTMAS

Welcome back to another challenge at ATSM and we are back on Christmas.  I saw a lady in Tracy Evan's FB group do a wonderful bubble card and really fancied having a go.  I managed to find a You Tube tutorial by Laura Wenn and will pop the link down below.  I didn't have any  of the silver ink that was used for the bubble to create the frosting so I improvised with glitter and a fern stamp.

I think my bubble is a little bit large but by then I was committed to my card so thought I'd continue with it.  I've used the new release from Tracy Evans Boutique Designs called Winter Delights.  I just love those little penguins!
