We are joining up with Double Trouble Challenge blog over at Joy of Sets Tic Tac Toe this month. I used their key word of circles for my project. Rather than a card I did a tag for mine. This is our Grid for August chosen by Kaylin Krawczyk who also runs Try Stampin on Tuesday challenge blog.
We have also held a Tag Swap on my Facebook Group The Joy of Sets this month and I chose Circle Paper Tearing and Yellow as the theme. This also fits in with the Double Trouble challenge of using something round.
I used some Tim Holtz distress inks for the background of my tag sponging a few colours. The stencil of the circles is a very old Tim Holtz one as is the Artist stamp in the middle. The work of art sentiment is from SU Painter's Palette. I added the tag to some paper and tore the edges. Some ribbon and some glitter dots finished off the tag.
I'm looking forward to seeing what you do and don't forget you can add your project to both Challenges if you fulfil the requirements.
Our sketch challenge today at TSOT has the added option of using some embossing.
I used the Basket Weave Dynamic Textured Embossing folder from SU. I used Crumb Cake card stock and then inked it up with some retired SU Chocolate Chip ink. I used Lots of Lavender for my main image inking it in Blackberry Bliss and then stamping off for the background image. I used a Spectrum Tri Blend pen for the leaves. I added some very old SU ribbon and some non SU gems which are a sparkly purple green colour and very pretty. The sentiment is from another retired set That's The Tag stamped in Blackberry Bliss and coloured in with the Tri Spectrum blender pens again.
I'm also including my card in the Double Trouble Anything Goes challenge - we will be doubling up with them at Joy of Sets Tic Tac Toe next week so look out for double the fun soon.
We are joining forces at Try Stampin' on Tuesday with Double Trouble challenge blog - this time it's a Tic Tac Toe challenge - I love these - they offer so many possibilities.
They've also given another twist - include anything on your project that hangs - stockings, garland, ornaments, lights, candles, etc.
I chose to do a Diorama card for mine. This is something I haven't done before. I chose to do the bottom line of Stamping, Red and Plaid.
The reindeer, dove and little Christmas stocking were all from the same little die set I had in my stash. The plaid paper is from current Stampin Up DSP and the sentiment is from an old SU set Winter Post. The beauty of this little card is that it still folds flat so you can post it!
