HAND STAMPED SENTIMENTS #435

Our mood board this challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments  is very spring like - I wish we were enjoying spring here in the UK but we have had constant rain for months!

I've used the image of the wellington boots for my card - I created a yellow background with the gel press and added background stamping.  All stamps are by Tracy Evans - both her old stamps and her new Boutique stamps.  I cut out the flowers and the boots and layered them onto the card.

I'm adding this into the following challenges:

HAND STAMPED SENTIMENTS - IC426

A wonderful autumnal/harvest mood board for you at Hand Stamped Sentiments this week.  I focused on the pinecones and knew exactly what stamp set I wanted to use.

The stamp set Pinecone is by Tracy Evans for Aallandcreate.  I started by inking my background with Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks and I added some Cosmic Shimmer Mica Powder to give the blue shine parts. I used a stencil by Tracy called Undergrowth which you can just see as the pale parts which are leaves.  Some extra Tracy stamps Ticketed Snippets, Seasons and Bulb Gazette were stamped in the background.

The little bird is from Ticketed Snippets and I added it to a metal embellishment from Creative Expressions.  It fit just perfectly. I added some water droplet embellishments and a metal tag from Tim Holtz.  I added some Spectrum Noir sparkle to give it extra shine.

HAND STAMPED SENTIMENTS IC423

Welcome back to another challenge from Hand Stamped Sentiments and our lovely mood board.  I so wish I could have that wreath on my front door - isn't it just beautiful!  My card was inspired by the little box of flowers.

The colours look a bit washed out here when they are in fact quite dark browns reds and greens - all of Tim Holtz Distress Inks.  The flower set is from Tracy Evans at Aallandcreate called In the Bucket.  I kept it simple with watercolouring.  The sentiment Autumn is a very old one from Stampin Up.  On a wooden block - wow I haven't used one of those in a while!  I do still have stamps on wooden blocks but must admit they are rarely used - how about you - are you still an avid wood block user?
