WOYWW #94 HELP PLEASE!

Well it's Wednesday again - and time for a trip round Julia's followers of desks! Sounds mad but its addictive!

Here's my desk this week: There are my inchies for the UK Stampers inchy swap - this month we're doing Australia and Oceana. My inchies depict the Sidney Opera House (why wouldn't I pick that lol!) on top of Ayers Rock surrounded by the words Waltzing Matilda - I know a bit of a cliche song!

On the left there are some Tim Holtz stamps -and I need some advice please - the stamps have lost their stickiness - how do I get it back? They keep falling off my blocks.

PS - do you know what DH said to me the other day - "you're desk is a mess" he just doesn't get it does he?

  1. Happy WOYWW! I think your desk is just perfect as it is!
Fiona I am sure if you just wipe the 'cling' with a damp cloth and leave to air dry it should 'stick' again.

  4. Here is a link from the Splitcoast Stampers forum about that...lots of tips. I would try alcohol I think.

  5. Hi Fiona. Thanks for visiting me. I'm here to see YOU now!

WOW - that's not a MESS, it's CREATIVE . . . you really should eductate your DH!!!! LOL.

Wash cling stamps in soapy water or wipe with baby wipe, dry off and they SHOULD cling again. Isn't it FRUSTRATING when they keep falling off!!

  6. You need to show DH a couple of other desks on this blog hop, he'll be so thrilled yours isn't as bad as mine that he'll be quieted forever! Like those inchies, at first glance I thought they were postage stamps.

  9. Fab creative mess! :)

And I'd agree with the above on cleaning the cling surface and leaving to dry.

  11. The inchies look great! I sometimes call my OH in to see other desks on WOYWW just so he knows I'm not really tooooo messy:) I would wash the stamps and leave them to air dry, it works on polymer ones so hope it does the trick for you honey! Di x

  12. You know what i do? I rollup pieces of masking tape so they stick to the rubber backing and also onto the accrylic blocks - it makes them really secure. It does work - I've tried it. I just love those inchies - I haven't really come across them before - will have to look it up on you tube.
    Happy WOYWW

  13. LOL -my workspace does have to be tidy because I don't have one. Last week it was the coffee table and to day it's the bed. Maybe that's why I just don't do all that deliciously messy, inky stuff that you do. (Stamps still in packaging -but they look very pretty!)

Lots of love to you xxx

  15. That's a great desk, don't think I've ever seen such a well used craft mat before! Not sure about the stamps, warm water is usually good.

So annoying when they lose their cliing - I agree with the rest - soapy water works.

  18. I love the mess on your desk, it looks great. DH has no idea... About the clinginess of the stamps, I would also opt for cleaning and air drying, then they should be fine again. Happy WOYWW.

  20. Love you messy and creative desk! DH is like my DH and doesn't get it! I was my stamps in a stocking bag when they really get disgusting. I put the clear block and stamps in it and run it through a gentle wash! I know I'm lazy but it works! Thanks for sharing! Vickie #162

  22. Your DH needs to go on this hop to see what a mess is! He has no clue, has he? Men, they wouldn't know creativity if it slaps them in the face LOL
    Love those inchies.

  24. Take note next time DH's desk/car/work bench/cupboard - anything! - is a mess and strike back! The main thing is, your desk is your space.

Been poorly so short & sweet this week
