Do you know its nearly 24 years since I was last in Paris. My hubby took me there for our 1st wedding anniversary as a surprise trip and it was so gorgeous - we often say we'd like to go again and, really, as we live in Hampshire - its not that far away to just jump on the train. I can remember walking and walking and walking - so much that I broke my shoes! The best meal we had was overlooking Notre Dame sitting by the Seine drinking a bottle of red wine and eating some baguette and cheese. Over at Sunday Postcard Art their challenge is Paris - hence my memories. Here's my postcard - the Eiffel Tower stamp is from Tim Holtz.

Your art work is incredible!
ReplyDeleteLove your use of the maps!
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely memories from your trip to Paris and how beautifully you have illustrated your postcard.
ReplyDeleteYour map collage is also gorgeous and I certainly hope you get to go to Egypt at sometime, it's definitely worth it.
This is wonderful -such a deep sense of history and wondrous travel. Beautiful map entry!
ReplyDeleteNeatly done, Fiona. Nice to record in art such wonderful memories! Thanks for joining in our challenge!

ReplyDeleteNice Fiona!
ReplyDeleteI envy you the trip!
Beautiful collage and thoroughly enjoyable reminiscences of your trip to Paris, all those years ago. I heard today that the wonderful hoteliers of Paris have increased their tariffs by 300% to catch all those poor people who are stranded there at the moment so it is just as well that you and your hubby didn't choose this time to travel.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful memories, beautiful creations Fiona! Thank you for calling by to visit and your lovely comment x
