LOADS OF STAMPS!!

I just had to have another go at the Watercooler Wednesday challenge - this time I was inspired by the lovely card by Gail Allen who in turn was inspired by something she saw on Pinterest by Sandi McIver.  I love the way ideas zoom around the internet.

I've been doing quite a few CAS cards lately so this was a nice change - Even though the actual image is still only one layer - there's lots on there.

I started with my aqua brush and an old SU colour Creamy Caramel with a touch of Close to Cocoa.  I don't have waterproof paper but plenty of glue has helped the paper to stay flat.  I then stamped the lovely flowers from Serene Silhouettes in Early Espresso and added some background image dots.  I then Heat Embossed the For You Sentiment with old SU embossing poweder in brown.  The other stamped images were stamped off in Early Espresso.  The hearts stamp from Birthday Blooms were embossed with white embossing powder.  I didn't use bleach on mine but just added touches of white with my Signo pen. The paper piercing doesn't really show up very well in the photo but is in the corners.  Layered onto Early Espresso card stock and then Very Vanilla completed the card with some sentiments from Perfect Pairings.

Hi Fiona, another lovely card. It's clear you took inspiration from Gail's beautiful card. The layers of stamping on the single layer create such a unique multi-media effect, especially by adding the heat embossing. You've used one of my favourite stamp sets, the Serene Silhouettes to great effect. Some things don't show up in a photo but need to be seen in person. The piercing is a good example of that. Beautifully done, Fiona. Thanks so much for joining us so enthusiastically this week for our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge. I trust we'll see much more of you.

Wonderful card, Fiona! Serene Silhouettes is one of my favorite stamp sets. I love all the "layers" to your single layer card. Thanks for joining us this week at Watercooler Wednesday Challenges. I hope to see you again soon. Marsha

Oh wow - a second card! And another beauty, too! I've never seen the Creamy Caramel ink before - I wish SU! would bring it back - it's beautiful. I can't tell that this wasn't done on watercolour paper, Fiona; the blending is lovely. I'm glad that you enjoyed the challenge so much that you entered twice! :) ~Deborah

Fiona, I'm thrilled you were inspired by my sample. Yes, it is so much fun how ideas zoom around the internet! Love the look of yours using Creamy Caramel and Close to Cocoa - both retired colours I still have! They were an awesome combo. Thanks for adding this to the Watercooler!
